So here we are then, i'm hoping this is the very last update for those that have followed my heart problems over the last 20 months. As you know my heart put itself back into rhythm in September, which was completely unexpected, however I saw my cardiologist on Tuesday to see what has happened and he said in all his time as a heart specialist (and he retires at the end of this month) he has only seen 2 or 3 cases where the heart has put itself back in rhythm on its own without any procedures or invasive surgery. He thinks this has been caused by the drugs I've been taking and my strength to fight the virus, the inflammation of my heart has gone and I should, hopefully, be able to live a normal life!! I have to stay on the drugs, for now, but they may even go in the fullness of time. I have one more echo-gram to have and he expects it to show my heart will be working close to everybody's else on 50%. I said this wouldn't beat me, and by god I was never gonna give in, it seems to have worked. I have never felt as good as I do now during the last 2 years. I will continue to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation but for now to heart disease I just say...FUCK OFF!!! However for now its time to live, love, laugh and be happy.
Thanks as ever for all your support on here, and hopefully this is the end of 20 months of worry and feeling very scared. To anyone out there who has been laid low by heart disease, I hope you can fight it as well. Good luck to all.
