Hate when they use compubox numbers to justify why a fighter should've won.
30 punches difference over 12 rounds is less than 3 punches difference a round. If Canelo has thrown the better shots he wins the rounds not the more active fighter.
As they just said, a Golden boy promotion, with a golden boy fighter, with tons of mexican fans there on Mexican independence day...................no surprise at all even if it's a joke decision.
Thats why boxing gets a bad name. Canelo will never lose on points on a golden boy show. Remember that ridiculous draw scorecard he got against mayweather... corrupt as f##k
I have watched it back no volume twice now and I come to same conclusion
GGG by 2 rds it’s a fucking disgrace so many ginger bastd drug cheating wankface fans that the roid cheat wins
I've watched it back once with no commentary and actually scored it at 114-114 trying to be as objective as possible having already known the official result.
Some of the rounds are so close that me going just one round for GGG instead of Canelo and it agrees with you. You going one round the other way and you make it a draw. Me going one for Canelo instead of GGG and Canelo wins 115-113.
It was one of those fights where all three results would not have been unreasonable. It wasn't robbery like the first fight.
The first fight was a robbery, this was a close fight. I had GGG winning but he was never getting the decision against Canelo. Alvarez makes far too much PPV money for that Shit truth unfortunately.
Unless another fighter starts making more $ in the States, especially the west coast, Canelo won't lose on points
Had Golovkin by 2, and thought when two judges had it 115-113 'and still' was to follow. Yes. the was a close fight, but there was only one winner in there.
Boxing is rotten and the fact that none of us are surprised it's a damning shame.
I watched it this morning without sound (had no choice, there was no sound on the video I found) Golovkin won that in my eyes. Not surprised it went to Alvarez though, home fighter, huge ticket and PPV seller.
Same happens over here, not to the same degree but it still happens. Hearns fighters always get a few rounds head start
Mexican fighter Mexican promoter Mexican Independence Day Never ever going to be a different result
All that aside (and I agree), the result wasn't a travesty - even GGG has accepted it.
As I'm sure you know, the biggest fight days in Vegas are Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independence Day - and they always try to put on a Mexican show. Even Floyd/Manny had Leo Santa Cruz on the undercard!

Will be interesting to rewatch the fight without the commentary, they were very biased in favour of GGG

My Danny is probably the best judge I know so I respect what he says.
Said de la Hoya would ensure his golden ticket came through
Rd 12 to Canello tells you everything you need to know as why thevfightbwas a fix
