Benavidez would have to move back down to 168.superclive98 said:

Which he has really struggled to make. His fight with Anthony Yarde could be explosive.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Benavidez is a big, big super middleweight. I can't see him wanting to give that weight away and potentially spend the night throwing punches at shadows.
Would be a huge fight for boxing fans but Benavidez isnt know by casuals1 -
Nor can i really... it would probably have to be at 168 but it would sell, be a huge money fight for benevidez and a legacy cemented for crawfordsuperclive98 said:

Crawford's legacy is already cemented. Beating Benavidez wouldn't really add much.4

Fair assessment and I agree... just love how much it'd wind up canelo fanboys. He should probably retire and go out on a high, proved all there is to provesuperclive98 said:Crawford's legacy is already cemented. Beating Benavidez wouldn't really add much.0 -
Yeah i don't think it will happen, just saying that it would likely only happen if he moves back down to 168. Realistically i think unless he's going to rematch Canelo for $50-100m then Crawford will probably retire as he has nothing left to do.superclive98 said:

Or go the circus route and fight Topuria... Probably not a coincidence that he came out to a Mariachi band playing Topuria's ring walk song in a fight promoted by Dana WhiteChris_from_Sidcup said:

Canelo has been over the hill since 2022/23.
Shame Crawford started so late in fighting top opponents.0 -

I'd say that being undisputed champ in three weight classes is a pretty decent legacy.SELR_addicks said:

Both are true world class opponents and he absolutely dismantled them... not giving enough credit thereSELR_addicks said:

Canelo was maybe 3 years ago. There's a reason he's been hand picking opponents for a while now.CAFCsayer said:

Spence retired immediately after the fight because he was after that last payday once his body was severely injured.
Crawford great fighter but the idea his legacy is set is way too premature.
You have Beterbiev, Bivol, Ortiz jr, Alimkhanuly, Martinez/Mbilli winner all around waiting. Pick your weight class and let's see.1 -
Why not throw usyk in the mix too?SELR_addicks said:

He has just stepped up 3 weight classes and absolutely dismantled someone regarded as a top 5 p4p boxer by most people. I get it that he probably doesn't have the resume he should have, but he has made light work of everyone he has faced. He is also 2 years older than canelo
If he carries on i think he will go down to 160 and try for 4 times undisputed, but the money fights are not really there as there aren't really any "names" that would have casuals buying the fight0 -
Who has Canelo still in the top 5 pfp after the past two years?CAFCsayer said:

It's a good win but it's not Canelo in his prime.
Usually harder to move back down once you've moved up, so if he wants to defend these belts you've got Bivol/Beterbiev as the guys up there.0 -
No, if he wants to defend the belts against them then they would have to come down to his weight from light-heavyweight.SELR_addicks said:

Guess it's Mbilli/Martinez in that weight division. Imagine Crawford goes back down for Ortiz jr.0 -

Felt like an age ago he battered Jamie McConnell and has looked better every single time since0 -
Crawford nothing short of sublime.
Walked out like he was heading down the shop for a paper. Not a care in the world.
I thoght he pretty much schooled Canelo in the ring. As the smaller man against a fighter of that calibre is insane.
The fella is a phenom.
Best in the business.
He should walk away. Nothing left to prove. Fought the best and beat the best up and down weights.2 -
This Allen - Makhmdov fight is best described as agricultural.1

Any thoughts on Parker v Wardley on Saturday? Am hoping Jo’s experience will be enough.0
-
I can't get the Wardley vs Hunni fight out of my thoughts. Hunni schooled him for eleven rounds, hit and moved beautifully and made Wardley look a bit silly at times. Can't help thinking that Parker is a step too far for Wardley, and a nasty stoppage could be on the cards.
1 -
I don't think Wardley is in Parker's class. He can bang though.0
-
The undercard for Saturday night is really underwhelming.0
-
This is a massive step up for Wardley, I think his only chance is a lucky shot that gets him the knockout. I'd fancy Parker to win by stoppage in 6-8 rounds.
I'm actually going to this, it's my first "big" heavyweight fight since Bruno vs Ferguson in 1994.0 -
Think Wardley has a puncher's chance but not much more than that.0
