If this story can generate a bit of media coverage then the mask protests has made a difference.
Has anyone asked the sponsors, especially Greenwich University, how they feel about being associated with a club that treats people who have spent a lot of money like this?
I've just posted on the C.A.R.D thread that I believe it did rattle the club. If it does generate some publicity then I am glad I've helped in my small way.
I would like to thank my fellow fan who actually went and got the mask for me. I'm sorry I don't know your name but I know you do read this forum.

@ME14addick Just waiting for the club to issue a statement on your behalf informing us that the blinds were lowered to stop the sun from getting in your eyes.
I do try, but I think those not on social media and forums like this, don't realise what is going on and don't believe there is an alternative. I keep hearing 'where would the club be now if RD hadn't come along'
Ditto, ME14.
We really need to educate those fans ASAP or at least show them the evidence in black & white.
If they're not on social media, the programme won't tell them the facts for sure so we have to address the problem by some alternative means.
Today's edition of CAS Trust News is an excellent vehicle for this, if the ill informed fans care to read it...
Would it be possible to get CAD Trust News handed out in the lounges?
Sums up the siege mentality within the club now which is reminiscent of a collapsing dictatorship. Ignore the protests, keep reassuring each other all is well and the plebs will soon quieten down, and carry on as before. And yet their actions to try and preserve this illusion just makes them more vulnerable. Endless small confrontations just serves to alienate more people as well. Meire and her few toadies in the club can continue to pretend nothing is wrong but we are not going away.
God knows where you'll be sitting next week, stuff like this is beyond belief.
If we're moved away from the window I will be even more angry.
I'm just sorry that my 88 year old dad who is in a wheelchair had to witness the confrontation. He doesn't need it at his age.
Demand to see a copy of their Risk Assessment and get them to indicate which part covers not looking out of a window due to health and safety.
They'll probably say it was an on the spot risk assessment for actions likely to incite the crowd, a bit like a player taking his shirt off after scoring a goal .
You were by far the highlight of the protest @ME14addick
Seeing the three stewards scrambling up the stairs and about to raid the boardroom, before they realised you were actually next door was hilarious! If only they had gone flying in and bundled Meire out instead of closing your blinds!!
Some great defiance too, as you had a few more waves after and left the mask in the window. Good work

This is so sad, but unfortunately true. I still think a huge number of fans think this way. I stand at the back of the north upper, M block, less and less turn up every week, I did a quick straw poll yesterday. Half said what's the point, to the question of ST renewal half said of course we will. I am afraid my trips to the valley will be few and far between next year. Looking forward to lots of away games, I still need the fix PS you were the star of the show yesterday ME14 good on you.

Agree ME14 -the bloke who sits next to me is anti the protests and said he was impressed by what RD said in the programme (whatever that was). I talked to him about RM and his political part and he had no idea. How do we reach these fans?
Indeed, Arsenetatters.
Maybe us " girls" could come up with a cunning plan ?
Sounds good to me! And an excellent excuse for a small, medicinal, wine or two......
So ME14addick caring for her dad, Paul Ellis, one of our museum movers and shakers Henry of this parish, and Seb Lewis have been picked on to our knowledge. Others we know less of, like Gwen and her son re the flag, plus stewards hustling folk off staircases and preventing photography, yet Katrien slithers up to Airman and says he is afraid of her! Building a better tomorrow together are we? Whilst I think free tickets for school kids is actually an admirable thing there was something of the cynical use of those kids yesterday, calling out each school name to elicit a cheer, and getting rather bewildered kids out to wave flags...no not a Nuremberg rally, but not a joyful organic event either...simply a photo opportunity for club propaganda I thought, with that cringe making Sir Valiant getting involved to add to the toe curling. If some of the planning that had gone into the school kids exploitation event had gone into the Moore tribute we may not be so ashamed and embarassed. I agree with ME24addickthst the Cardiff staff on the touchline, and their fans too showed how it ought to be done.
Any guesses for the season ticket slogan this year?
How about 'Alienating the old, exploiting the young'? I reckon Katrien would love that one.
@ME14addick Well done for standing your ground yesterday. Like many others I stood outside the west stand watching the 'panic' of the Belmarsh crew rush up the stairs to stop you looking out of the window. Officially you was my MOTM yesterday
one of our museum movers and shakers Henry of this parish,..... have been picked on to our knowledge.
I really don't feel I've been picked on. I've been critical and they have reacted. I'm an adult and understand that action gets a reaction even if that reaction is silly or over the top eg wearing a black and white scarf and asking for emails to be replied to is, according to KM, "inciting a riot".
As it is nothing has happened about or to the museum. In fact Roland paid it a visit this week. see @chathmuseum for the photos
I have been stopped from having my name in the programme alongside the articles I wrote on the history of the club. Not seen a recent programme so not sure what is happening but hardly the end of the world. Silly from them and cutting off their nose to spite their face (if I don't write it then one of the overworked staff has to write something to replace it) but that is the petty level the senior management think and work at.
@Henry Irving I'm not his daughter either actually I'm his niece Paul don't have any children I'm the closest his got. Actually @ellisaddick is my dad and Paul's brother.

I know Paul is your uncle. Did he get in OK yesterday BTW?

They changed it again saying that he would have it taken away and put into storage and he would have to make his way to the disabled gate after the game and collect it. This upset him so much he said he may not be able to go to matches at all anymore as the walking outside without the aid is the problem so I phoned mick Everett and explained he has arranged that, although he still won't be able to leave it in reception he can collect it from there after the game. It means that he can still go for now until they move the goal posts again, I'm not happy that this suddenly became an issue in the first place though to be honest.

Do you know who is responsible for the decision it can't be left in reception as it was before, and why?

Well done today @ME14addick . Apart from giving some of the lounge customers a bit of a wake up call, it also cheered the protesters no end.
Wait and see what they say when they are sitting amongst 2-3k next season.
It is all the fans fault I'm sure!
