New signing Marco Motta

  • Great news. It was essential that we signed a second right back this week, who hasn't played any decent football for a year.

If he's free & there's no agent free, sign him up.
It doesn't matter where he plays, piffling detail.

    You only need 11 players.

I'm surprised at the negativity at this signing!

    - Motta, like Fanni, can play in the centre and the right side of the defence.

    - Motta can also play as a right-midfielder.

    - Motta helped Watford to get promoted.

    - Played hundreds of games in Serie A.

Cheer up you lot, we've got ourselves a coop for sure!

It's not about the signing's they may be very good players, however we dont have 3 months for them to get up to speed because they haven't played first team football for god knows how long. We then bring them in too quickly and they are either not up to speed or look ok and get injured. Its the same old crap happening over and over again.
Most signings are a risk, we're due a couple of signings to come good though aren't we? Riga will pick the team at the end of the day. Motta might even be in the squad tomorrow, he's been on trial at QPR last month so maybe he might be close to match fitness, Sanogo and Fanni will surely be in contention for tomorrow too.
Not eligible to play against Cardiff, whatever that means...

Means he was signed after the cut off time for registration for the match

Don't worry 1 game won't matter, it's only 3 points up for grabs.

We signed Johnson, Eagles and Diarra as free agents, this time last season.
But the carrot on a stick, is that they were playing for a new contract.

They each took a few weeks to get up to speed, but all 3 made a decent contribution to our climbing the table away from the relegation positions.

Diarra impressed everyone and soon won himself a new contract.
In fact before he got injured, Diarra was probably one of the favourites for this year's Player of the Season.

Maybe it's hoped that Motta and Fanni will make a similar impression.
