Instead of just slaughtering the regime cos it's the in-vogue thing right now, would anyone like to look at this logically?
Riga knows that Solly's knees are fooked so that can't play more than once a week. We have five Tuesday night games scheduled over our run in, and from all accounts, Fanni is at this stage of his career, a 'centre back who can play right back'. I think Fanni was brought in as an older head to play (or even just be around training) when Diarra is out, and this lad, who comes highly rated from Watford in our league, will offer the true right back cover we need when Solly can't play. As the first of these games isn't for a couple of weeks his lack of fitness shouldn't be too much of an issue.
(Then again, maybe I'm being too glass half full here, and looking for logic where none has been applied).
I'd go with your last statement, the only knee involved in the current recruitment strategy is the one associated with jerks....
Good old Katrien what was it she said. Maybe we need to sign players who have played at least 30 games a season. Between him and Fanny its a big fat 1. Nice one Katrien you dick
Let's hope that by the end of the season he's remembered as Marco 'Miracle' Motto, cos we need a sodding massive miracle to get out of the shit we're in.
So I saw him play for Roma and Juve (on telly) on a fair few occasions, and he is a good attacking full/wingback, or at least he was. He provided good pace and good width, and I thought it was a coup when Watford brought him in.
The problem of course is that he's been without a club for a while, he's had injury problems, and we have no idea what his fitness levels or match sharpness is like. Going from what I've seen I'd say he definitely has the tools, but....sigh.
He could very well turn out to be a strong signing. But it's the perpetual question of why now, how fit is he, how sharp is he, and how long until he settles in? We can't keep doing this...
- Motta, like Fanni, can play in the centre and the right side of the defence.
- Motta can also play as a right-midfielder.
- Motta helped Watford to get promoted.
- Played hundreds of games in Serie A.
Cheer up you lot, we've got ourselves a coop for sure!
It's not about the signing's they may be very good players, however we dont have 3 months for them to get up to speed because they haven't played first team football for god knows how long. We then bring them in too quickly and they are either not up to speed or look ok and get injured. Its the same old crap happening over and over again.

Most signings are a risk, we're due a couple of signings to come good though aren't we? Riga will pick the team at the end of the day. Motta might even be in the squad tomorrow, he's been on trial at QPR last month so maybe he might be close to match fitness, Sanogo and Fanni will surely be in contention for tomorrow too.

Of course any signing could be a risk but if they haven't play for 6 months to a year then get thrown in straight away there's an even bigger risk they might get injured or not be up to speed and we cannot afford to do that anymore. Doing this already this season has absolutely killed us.

If you're going to use that argument, I'm due to come good in the Euromillions. Unless the criteria used to identify and recruit players have changed, there is no reason to believe that the outcome will be better...
Looks a decent player at Championship level, strange that he has been unattached since the summer. Why sign him now, and not 1 or 2 months ago though?
36 U21 caps must be a record, and Italians generally know about defenders
looks like a decent player at Championship level? Then why has he not been signed up by one of the 23 clubs above us and been unattached since August? Perhaps the rest of the league are missing a trick by looking at his previous performances and deciding he ain't up to it. it's far too over-rated having a Director of football or Chief Scout making football decisions. just have a guess or find an ex-teammate to give you a reference. then make the signing....it worked with VazTe.

Silly Boy !
She said players who have played at least 30 MINUTES a season ".
Another player who's not match fit. Hadn't had a club since July No disrespect to Marco but he is on a win win getting paid maybe not as much as he would want (that's why we got him). Getting match fit ready for his new club next season. RD is a joke. KM does what she's told. RM just likes being the President
Charlton's recruitment policy must be unique among Football League clubs. How do they manage to sign so many players that haven't played for months or are totally not match fit? Agents must love us right now. No one else wants (insert name of unknown foreign player here), let's try Charlton. Already have three right backs? Not a problem, the customers will be happy with another player in the squad.
I suspect he or Solly will end up as left back - but maybe Solly's knees are causing him gip again. I don't think we need to lose any sleep over this one, although it might say something about Riga's view of the Fanni signing.

Meire and Douchebag summed up by this.
