If anything should be boycotted the FF should. Nothing in it for fans but it gives a PR plus to the club.

But then the response to the media would be "the fans refused to engage with us"

"We refused to go because we are sick of the lies and being treated like idiots."

    Would be my response.

But the press won't phone you up.

At the moment the publicity is almost entirely in our favour, why give the club a mitigation ? We'll know they're lying but the impartial casual observer will probably think "they're both as bad as each other".

@rikofold and others should continue to attend things like the FF if they can, it's just giving the club more rope.

    This 100%

We must continue to show that we are better then them.

They have failed to realise that we will not roll over and we have a rich history in fighting for this club.

They have bought the wrong club but have yet to realise that.

Did we get fans weeping all over the floor about how theyve supported the club for 50 years and feel disconnected instead of asking piercing questions like last time?

Fair points but there is another way of thinking.

I would much rather "Charlton fans boycott fans forum due to constant lies from the club"

    Than

"Charton fans go to meeting so club won't have ammunition"

With the inception of CARD i took that as a declaration of war. A point where the opportunity of dialogue and change had passed. A point where we just want these idiots out.

Going to a fans forum and listening to more lies also gives the club a chance to say "why would they come here to be lied to?".

These lot are universally it seems to be known as liars. Why you would want to go and drink coffee and have a civil chat with them is beyond me.

They are destroying the club with everyday that passes it seems, we have heard of generations of fans i.e Grandparents, parents and children not going anymore after decades of support.

Its gone beyond a media spin war now its about survival and letting them know we want nothing to do with them.

If people can stomach being in the same room as them then i respect that and their choices to attend.

For me its war, i hate them. I couldn't be in the same room as them as they spout lie after lie and turning up and being soft on them gives them more reason to believe they can win us back.

    They can't. It's too late.

Exactly. Empty words. They have been expressing their commitment to improving communication with supporters for about 3 months, that's the only communication that we've had from them though.
  • Four pages of bullshit. Countless lies, and they still seem under the impression they can win these lost fans back. For me and many other it's way too late for that.

As usual, its more about what they don't say than what they do say:-

"his investment has also ensured that Charlton is currently free of any bank debt."

So, is it investment or are actually Charlton up to their eyeballs in Staprix debt?

We are yes, but won't know of it for a fair while.

Brilliantly written statement. Very smart prepared answers to pre-submitted questions.

That interim PR bouncer is earning his money.

What are they going to do when he leaves at the end of the month.

I am sure that we will ... in due course ... find this is true ... dealing with RD is far from straightforward, but one thing is for sure, he doesn't seem to lose money very often ... it's others that suffer.

The club would likely have been free of bank debt at this stage under any owner because the mortgage was due to be paid up and the bank was unlikely to lend any more. Meaningless.

    Think that was her.

He told her to shut her mouth as she only put her foot in it everytime she opened it.

But she won't be able to resist another foreign journalist or conference speech somewhere.

It is all rubbish and spin.

The problem is we as a fan base are generally ware of this now and can see right through it.

I like the way no one has put there name to it.

And we pay 3% interest to Staprix, don't we? That's £750k on £25M.
