Well he speaks good English at least. He did well in that derby, so maybe he can help us beat Millwall when we play them next year.

    Hold on

This from my Budapest source, close to the regime

    Hi Richard,

still hot info, as breaking news: Nebojsa just left the office of Roderick Duchatelet, as things stand now, he is NOT joining Charlton!

Is Roland's son actually based in Hungary then?
Isnt he the one who runs Ujpest?
    Correct

So, now he isn't coming? What the fuck is going on

Funny you should say that... Roland / Richard / Katrien ask themselves that all the time

In no way do I think this is a good idea BUT both @DJGaby on Twitter who runs Hungarofoot and lives in UK some of the time at least and watches English football reckons he is a good manager and speak perfect English. Then the well-connected Ujpest fan I was corresponding with woke up and we've had this dialogue (latest first)

one thing in what he is good at is to help a team reach their full potential. Winning the cup and supercup last year was an absolute overachievement, only thanks to him.

I do know he is a well prepared coach with a great view on the game. If the squad is adequate enough for the championship, he'll make the team stay.

Also, he is a great person, he was one of those that I really loved working with, and a few of those I still have a good relationship with. We only meet at games (and run into each other some times at frequent bars in Budapest), still I consider him one of the few great people in Hungarian football. A big loss for Ujpest, and really wish him and you guys the best!

    Hello mate

Nice to hear from you, very timely

Good to hear your upbeat view, but

    - does he speak English, do you know?

    - and is he prepared for the Championship? The pressure is horrible. And we are in a horrible state. I hope for his own sake that he realises what he is walking into

    Hi Richard,

just realized syncing this mailbox has been off for a while, I am really sorry.

Just wanted to tell you, you got an amazing coach, will be strongly missed from Ujpest.
Recent times were quite calm, but putting Vignjevic away from Ujpest within the network will light some fires... He is a huge fan favourite, the first coach to be respected in a decade...

    Well I'm satisfied @PragueAddick
Well, i'm getting ready for the Penis extension.

I'd have preferred his better half, but it's a wide, wide wonderful world.

Ujpest are currently second in the Hungarian top division. They beat table topping Ferencvaros away in their last game.

If you were the manager of a team with a great chance of European qualification offered the job of taking over a disjointed mess of a club languishing near the bottom of the English Championship, what would you do?

If the guy whose name I can't be arsed to look up has any choice in the matter surely he'll stay and complete the job he's doing at the moment. If RD has any sense he'll keep him where he is. Ujpest want him. We don't. But we know RD doesn't have any sense when it comes to football. He does what he, and he alone, wants to do.

Going to bed now. Let's see what news awaits tomorrow morning.

    Hear me out, people...........

Everyone that comes to CAFC starts with a "clean sheet".
Whether you played for our rivals (Phil Walker) or are anonymous (Riga) - let's see what you can do for Charlton.
This Nebosa bloke has applied for a work promotion - and got it - we have all done the same at some point.

It is a terrible decision to appoint him - but we must focus our anger on the regime and those stupid Belgians - not this guy.

Leave him to it - he will either keep us up, or fail miserably like most of his predecessors.

We need a change of ownership and we need to attract attention - this guy is just some random European and will probably fade into oblivion like the others.

What a kick in the teeth for us from RD/KM - the arrogance is astounding.

I agree. Innocent until proven guilty, or in this case part of the team, not the regime until proven otherwise. He gets my support along with the players but it'll be the same as with Luzon, he's definitely going to have work harder than most new managers to win the fans over.

You're going to give me hope and when it all comes crashing down I'm going to blame you.

I am of the opinion that if he has a view on football, he's streets ahead of KF.

Can we please get of off the bandwagon that really is going to give more 5-0 drubbings. Thank you whoever got rid of Fraeye and no thanks whoever employed this guy BUT, and a very big BUT, I ,for one, am not going to boo this person or boo the team or give him a hard time. Support the team and not the regime remember and until this fellow proves to be a turnip let us all give him the benefit as he MAY be ok. Who Knows? From the awful state of affairs we are in at present and from the view of the probable relegation of our club why don't we give this guy a chance; he is after all the only person right now who is going to manage the team on Saturday. Let's get behind him until he proves to be a joke. PLEASE PLEASE everyone turn up for the protest after the next home game but don't destroy anything good that may happen on the pitch. If this guy saves the day then we still continue with the protest until the job is done. If this guy is any good and it will be clear after 10 games then we wont him to go. LET US ASSUME WE ARE RELEGATED ALREADY and let this guy work his magic if he has any.
