"We don't do well against bottom clubs". Strange but often true.
Please Charlton prove me wrong this time and give us a much needed 3 points. I could really do with it!! I will be glued to Red's minute-by-minute commentary backed up by BBC radio live coverage for the stats with everything crossed and completely stressing out as usual. The "joy" of Following Charlton over the years has been a compulsive addiction and continues to be so on every match day, regardless of league position. The all consuming thoughts regarding the poor stewardship of our club will be suspended when the whistle blows to start another 90 minutes of hope and expectation.
COYR,.......give us a smile tonight!.....please.......I'd accept a paltry 1-0.....really.......
Confidence - if there's any - will be shot to pieces if we lose this home game. We need to get at least a draw otherwise I don't know where the points will be coming from.
Not seen much of Bolton but looking at their team, I suspect they'll play a direct game and try to bully our relatively young and inexperienced team, just as Ipswich did.
The opening goal will be crucial as if we get it, I could see us scoring a few.
Henderson Solly Sarr Lennon Holmes-Dennis Diarra Cousins Ba Reza Makienok Lookman
JBG needs a rest, Vaz Te was blowing all second half as was Jackson
Pope, Fox, RCC, Jackson, Vaz Te, KAG and JBG on the bench
That team worries me a bit too much having both Sarr and Ba in the side at the moment...
I'd rather keep the same side tonight, put Bauer back in on Saturday and rest one of the Midfielders as Bolton tonight and Bristol City on Boxing Day are the huge matches in the next week or so
i dont think sarr should wear a charlton shirt again.
I do... there are glimpses of a player there, he's just very much hot and cold at the moment, would like to keep him around for next season and see what he's like with a full year in England behind him.

hmm can we carry passengers though, its only when you look on the os u actually realise how paper thin this sqaud is its tiny, thanks roly.

At the same time can we afford to let him go... Tony Watt looks to be joined Cardiff for £1m which'll hopefully give us some funds for players in January, would rather it go on an additional Centre-Back and Midfielder rather than having to replace a further player and hoping that they're right for the Squad.
Naby for me is just frustrating at the moment... He has matches like Huddersfield but then he'll go and have a match like Sheffield Wednesday, think it was against Brentford where despite being on the losing team, he was one player who put in a shift.
With Solly on form again and THD at left back we can afford to play the diamond with JBG at the tip behind Vaz Te and Reza. Lookman on the left and Cousins on the right, Jackson in front of the back four. This would give us a good chance of an early goal.
(1) If we're benching players... Do it against Burnley, not against a team we could beat
(2) At the moment the counter-attack approach appears to be working well, I'd put Ahearne-Grant ahead of Makienok and keep it on the floor, although having the latter will help if we concede any free-kicks / corners as thats where Bolton will be dangerous

Depends on their recovery from Saturday, really. Jacko can come off the bench. Ba is inconsistent but can be OK.
3-1 to the Valiant Addicks. Fancy JBG to get one (must be due). Would prefer Ba to start over Cousins - think he is technically the better player and I also think Cousins looks a bit tired.
I admire your bravery and forthright opinion .. BUT .. beware .. men have been tracked down and battered with used copies of Voice of the Valley for suggesting much less heresy than this ((:>)
Agreed - Cousins has been somewhere between anonymous and atrocious the last 4 or 5 games, and Ba has been written off too soon by too many...
Whisper it quietly, but Jackson was also not very good on Saturday...

I would drop Jacko to bench. Put Sarr at CH (they play long ball) Lennon left back and Holmes-Dennis left MF.

They are worse than us
2-1, a late goal from Bolton sets up nail biting finish where we sit deep as per
