I’m not happy about it and I’m not happy about the circumstances. Lewis Hamilton showed the control under pressure to steal the championship from under Verstappen’s nose. For some reason, Masi felt his duty was to hinder one team and help another in order to manufacture a grand finale. Completely wrong. He decided to award the title to his mate Horner.

In short-Max pitted on a virtual safety car, mercedes gambled and left Lewis out. Then a safety car about 7 laps out, Max got another free pit stop leaving Lewis on old tyres. Masi had to choose between letting all the lapped cars through which would have meant no restart and a Lewis win or letting none of them through which probably leads to a Lewis win. Instead he made up a 3rd option and let just 5 of them through so Max started next to Lewis on his new tyres and beat him in a 1 lap race

Yes, he bent the rules but that's what dodgy refs do. He would say that he allowed them to race safely. The procedures/rules seem to be meaningless to the bloke but he is effectively the ref. We could say the push on Dobson for Shrewsbury's winner was incredibly poor reffing but even though it was clearly wrong, the game is lost on that.
Not a F1 fan at all. That sport is so clearly fixed. I also find it truly bizarre how you’d want an Englishman to lose in any international sport, if that’s what you want to call F1. Justify it however you like but it’s pretty strange.
I think Mercedes are in a no win situation here. They appeal, look like sore losers and I feel they won't win it anyways. I hope they show the same class that LH has shown tonight, regardless of the outcome.
I've always hated the safety car rules anyway, in no other sport can a lead evaporate like that due to external factors.
Yes it makes races more "exciting" but this is meant to be a sport, not a Simon Cowell reality show.

Hamilton drove like an animal on old tyres to keep Verstappen 12 seconds behind yet the title is decided on some bloke at the back crashing into a wall and then the race director changing the rules.
farce, fix or both ? .. first time I have watched F1 for a loooong time and I won't bother for another long time. So, have I got this right, Hamilton leads the race by a country mile, a crash brings out the 'safety car', the cars all bunch up, irrespective of the distance between them over the preceding 50+ laps, and then the race is (seemingly arbitrarily) restarted for a one lap 'sprint' to decide the whole season .. so why bother with the previous 50 odd laps, just have the two main protagonists behind a 'safety car' which then gets out the road and a one lap race decides it .. fucking rubbish, a waste of petrol, tyres, plastic, metal AND my time
