As I said on the match thread, he reminds me of Matt Svensson. He will
Pick up a few cards this season.

I predict he will be a cult player or Marmite player.
He gave the Prem CB's a harder time than the League 2 defenders of daggers.

On CL we will have the usual division of opinion, but we wanted a big man
to wear the number 9, so let's give him a chance to form a partnership with the other forwards and remember CAFC only get players who have failed or have not been given chances at other clubs.(we don't shop at Harrods no more)
Ba and Bauer look good already.

If you expect Simon and the rest to hit the ground running(some will take longer to get up to speed) you don't quite understand our position. Not sure that Simon will score many goals but hope he makes plenty of assists.

Is that Paulie with the blue highlights?
  • with a face only a mother could love and limbs littered with tats I'm guessing he'll be excused the kids' hospital visits come christmas time, having that loom up when they're feeling poorly will knock the little blighters for six :(

A modest boast admittedly but does that goal today make him joint top scorer?

All of his (three?) goals have come from nice early crosses that allowed him the opportunity to exploit space in the box and get across his marker.

I'm obviously not a master tactician like Carol is but I'm thinking there may be a lesson there...

More sarcastic cheers whenever he won a header. Really don't "get" some supporters.

Moronic. Another one I desperately want to see succeed and shove it down these cretin's throats.

Hull, Sheff W and today I think.

Completely agree with the moronic comment. Lone striker in a 451 with zero service. One decent cross and he scored.

nearly scored another as well, looked like a very good save from De Vries.
  • Great another player has reached the dreaded three goal mark... When someone reaches that amount they instantly seem to stop scoring!!

Behind me was a bunch of idiots swearing at him calling him lazy, useless etc and then infront of me was a few youngsters calling him a donkey and waste of space etc.

I was desperate for him to score to shut them up because the guy was working hard and deserved the goal.

My Forrest mate I went to the game with was glad it was him who scored the equalizer, well as glad as he could be.

Even after the goal he was still getting dogs abuse, I am baffled. Especially as these lot were then chanting "support the team and not the regime", really wish people would just stop and think at times.

This is One of the reasons me not attending at the moment was made such an easy decision,

Some cafc fans do not resemble anything I associate with our fan Base

It's always been so with some players and always will be at any club. I recall someone who sat near me who had a pathological hatred of Gary Nelson and loudly proclaimed it at every opportunity. Nelson scored a hat-trick (v Peterborough in 1994 I think) and this guy was silent. Near the end Nelson miscued a shot and the guy leapt to his feet in delight and told everyone within 100 yards how right he had been that GN was useless ...
