  • I think that would be a cracking signing as long as he's not just after a quick few quid to do nothing
  • He scored his only Blackpool goal against us i think.

A player like Eagles would have no chance on that Blackpool pitch.

The valley pitch now, he would like. For him to come to us his wages would be much lower than he wanted last season ?

  • A free club shirt for the first person to have eagles put on their top

Alright, f*** it we cannot sign this player with a name like that!
  • Has he been released from Blackpool?

Has he been released from Blackpool?

    According to Wiki
    'On 18 November 2014, Eagles joined Blackpool on the short term contract until January 2015'. And released according to Sky;

  • Has he been released from Blackpool?

    Yes.

  • So Lee Clark doesn't like Eagles.
    Great recommendation.
Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.
Clark is gathering a ton of shite up there. This lad must be diarrhoea.
  • he fits our remit for English signings; free.

To be honest, you look at a front four of JBG, Bulot, Igor and Watt and if they all play like Saturday, not many defences can handle them. But as soon as they get injured we're back to hoping Harriott is on a good day, or that Church is fed up of the world's lamest practical joke and turns into an actual football player. Eagles covers both wings and up front, seems good business to me.

This. We need a winger as back up at least. Bulot played well on Saturday but we all know he won't keep that up.

Maybe it's that they can't afford him long-term?
  • Boxxxxks if we was not good enough last year. Why are we better this year.if he can't even get a game at Blackpool what makes him think he good enough for the mighty charlton. He a shaun Wright philps in disguise. Bench warming money grabbing tax avoiding scrounger .fxxkoff off back up north. We want people who want to play for the shirt who will try and give 100% .

Didn't he get a hat trick at the Valley for Man U in the FA youth cup or am I dreaming that?

I don't know about a hat-trick, but he certainly was outstanding in that game against Man Utd. Hasn't totally fulfilled his potential, but would be a good addition to the squad.

Another winger wouldn't be a bad thing, but how do we "know" Bulot won't keep it up? He's never had a run of games in his best position.
He has had one full game, and about 15 minutes against Birmingham, in the left wing position.

He looked absolutely unplayable in the minutes he has played in that position.

So, "this". The evidence is actually that he WILL keep it up!

We don't 'know' for a fact but wingers being inconsistent is not a Charlton-exclusive phenomenon in fairness. Having a back-up is definitely sensible if it means no more playing Solly in midfield!
  • Eagles is right footed whereas Bulot, JMG and Harriot are all lefties therefore he does offer something different in my view.

Like a lot of players he is probably past his prime, but as Johnson proved Saturday it is useful to have some old heads around.

I'm just going on past form. I hope he does, but he's had more bad games than good ones.
  • Very good player, hope he signs.

I just don't think there is much to actually go on. He set up a goal against Birmingham from the left and was then moved to another position. Not sure he's played on the left for very long since? In the statbank it shows before Tuesday he's only played long enough to receive a rating in 6 games.

He had a very good game against Brentford and worked extremely hard out there on the left and tracked back too. I hope to see more of the same. I think I'm just struggling to get that awful Norwich performance out of my head. He was a passenger in that game.
  • Watt had attitude problems, Johnson had attitude problems, Bikey had attitude problems and they have all done alright for us.

Granted Bikey has not been great recently, but I am willing to give any player a chance Eagles (shit name) included.
