  • What about his work permit?
  • When he was on loan with us last season he was a very good solid pro, I know you're all wanting a striker etc but it's no reason to get on his back, he had an awkward time at Wolves granted but he did very well here and for someone he will be a very good player.

Not really got a problem signing Johnson personally think he is better or will be a better option than Bikey. I think i am on my own though when i say Bikey is not very good, started well but has become a total liability just like at every other club he has been at.
Been saying just that about Bikey to my dad since day one. He starts off as a cult hero as he's built like a tank, then the realisation sets in that he is shite and he soon gets flack whereby he starts trudging around feeling sorry for himself, gets dropped and leaves his latest club.

Personally think Johnson would be a good signing, no nonsense British centreback with 'character', so worth a shot.

Damn you Piggy with your positive attitude. don't you realise we are all looking for the Samaritans number, it is only a game chaps.

  • Bikey can now go up front and the master plan springs into action...
  • Thanks Colin
  • Colin knows best. Whats his medical history?

Good defender, will allow the USA defender to return home

Ah, that's OK then, that's just what we needed this transfer window, a defender to come in to allow the other defender we signed a couple of months ago to leave the club. Sorted. Bring on the rest of the season!

I called it earlier Bikey up front for the run in and that's why we keep trying to sign CB's........BEAST!
  • I've understood that the club is worried about Bikey, but my source is I'm sure nowhere near as connected as Colin.
  • Worried about what?
  • i dont think its Johnson i think the new signing (out of contract who no one else wants) was the trialist who came on late in the development squad game today. My betting is they are only wheeling him out as they couldnt or wouldnt sign anyone decent for dosh---so its just more shit to feed us---like we will believe it anymore.

That he is not good enough to count on as a first choice, obviously.
  • Obviously

What I think about Roger Johnson...

I'm not particularly happy about random Liege players being sent over as they have no invested interest in the club, but Johnson falls under the same category and has admitted as much he is in it for the money and for some reason still thinks he is a Premier League player. Oh and he turns up drunk for training.

I thought he was a bit of a liability against Brighton. He was stamping his feet and waving his arms around shouting at other players just before he gave away a needless free kick that led to the goal.

I thought then that in an ideal world Morrison would have come in for him - but he'd gone by then.
  • From first hand dealings of the man, he is an absolute tool.. the last thing we need in an already dodgy squad. Wouldn't have him near my squad if i was a League One side, he simply causes problems.
  • Was a very good player, certainly better than Champ at his best. Not convinced now and worried about his attitude but confident in KM and RD's ability to pick the right characters that fit as this is what they told us so I am assuming he has changed his way and is hungry and angry and keen to resurrect his career.

Been worried about Bikey for ages think i did post something along the lines 5 to 6 weeks ago.
Not a team player, fecking blames everyone else and makes Fox a bundle of nerves, oh and constantly talks to himself.
  • Wolves: No approaches so far for unwanted defender Roger Johnson

Why would they say that when he isn't their player anymore?

He has had his contract cancelled. So is a free agent.

Wolves have come to an agreement with former captain Roger Johnson to terminate the remainder of his contract after more than a season and a half out of favour at Molineux.
The 31-year-old centre-back, signed for £4m by Mick McCarthy from Birmingham City in the summer of 2011, was under contract until the end of this season.
But Wolves have taken the decision to get him off the payroll now.
Johnson, who now becomes a free agent, has been linked with Charlton Athletic.
The former Wycombe Wanderers and Cardiff City defender was a League Cup winner at Wembley with Birmingham just four years ago, only to leave Blues following relegation to sign for Wolves.
The BBC WM assessment on Roger Johnson
"Farewell, then, Roger Johnson. Many Wolves supporters will greet his departure as a cause for celebration. On reflection, emotions ought to be more sober. A player who arrived with a growing reputation, and was entrusted with the captaincy of a famous club, committed what should have been the prime of his career to Wolves and abjectly failed at huge expense. In 2011 Wolves fans chanted his name. Within a year they took his name in vain. There is still time for Johnson, at 31, to put his undoubted playing talents to good use somewhere else, but it will remain a regret to many - and perhaps to the player himself - that such a long section of his career has been wasted." (Mike Taylor, BBC WM)
