Someone just posted this on the FB group. If you look at this and the one above they have Saturday's score line on the big screen. Were these photos taken after Saturday's game?????

Hard to tell - but could be a Photoshopped picture. Bit too light to be late Saturday afternoon/evening.

 I'm pretty sure it was taken on Wednesday. Reckon they just hadn't taken down the score board for some reason.

Agree, but the scoreboard isn't switched on all the time. It would have had to be turned on especially, even if for some unrelated reason. In any event, why on earth would you set up a publicity picture with a losing scoreline in the background? It's very basic stuff.

It's not dark enough for late evening Saturday

True. They are so crap at PR it's both painful and funny.
  • On one hand I'd like all that to be true

    On the other hand Hmmmmmm

  • I've previously heard the live stream story from inside the club.
  • Well as GJ says we have had hints for weeks so this does fit the bill. AB's post doesn't detract from it does it ?
  • Some of this does stack up to what has been heard and as PL54 states, on one hand I'd like that to be true but on the other???

Do not know why WSS has LOL'd though?
  • Because I laughed out loud on the train.

    Seemed appropriate.
  • Yep I reckon it fits as well.

We've been getting steadily worse month after month but the last couple of performances have been particularly poor in my eyes...like the players, or enough of them anyway, had simply packed up trying.
I'd never suggest the players consciously or subconsciously set out to lose....but they certainly didn't try to win. The ultimate break down with the manager and irreversible....he had to go.
  • Think Reams might have nailed that one.
  • .

Unsure where to post this but a very interesting post from reams on ITTV I know a lot of people don't believe things he says but some of this ties on with some hints that have been dropped by CL posters:

    Thanks for re-posting, GJ.

Certainly seems to back up what we've been hearing.

  • Sounds very plausible.
  • Wouldn't really be surprising if any/all of that was true.

I expect van Houdt and Kiala would have always gone when Peeters left, whatever happened. They were his staff, they had worked with him before (and in van Houdt's case, he's also Peeters' brother-in-law).

Managers change in different circumstances, but the selection of a new man should surely bring with it at least the promise of a new dawn; a sense of hope and ambition, yet I'm left with the feeling that little has really changed. Luzon will have my support because he's now leading CAFC - I was going to use the term "managing" but that's where things start to feel wrong.

Clearly the team needs an injection of quality. Will the new man be allowed to juggle his limited resources and use his knowledge and contacts to attract players he feels will significantly improve his squad? I doubt it - instead he's likely to be offered more heads from within the owner's network, and, like his predecessors from RD's little harem of coaches, told to get blood out of a stone within six months.

I've tried to be patient and give RD's plans a chance - he doesn't appear to be fleecing us financially for short-term gain, and has made the much-trumpeted structural changes. I'm not storming off in a sulk or tearing up my season ticket, just as I don't boo and slam my seat up every time a result doesn't quite match my hopes. But it definitely leaves me feeling more detached from my club when we're left with a revolving door of "head coaches" who'll have little chance to leave any legacy, and who are rendered almost irrelevant figureheads for a distant dispassionate owner.

I used to laugh at clubs run like this. Now I support one.

I used to laugh at clubs run like this. Now I support one..........................And people still think Duchatelet has done alright!

I heard from an extremely reliable source about the dressing room and things getting more than heated. Anyway what's done is done.
  • Although that news is quite positive, that still, for me, doesn't excuse his appointment of Luzon

    My thoughts exactly GJ.
  • Reams has got it spot on !
  • It certainly confirms my feeling that while the team needs strengthening, it has been under performing these last few weeks. The lethargic performances were unacceptable.

In a situation where trust in RD isn't very high, in a funny way he needs a couple of external purchases this window to prove his intent...

Are you just agreeing with what reams has posted or do you know that what he has posted to be true?
  • Out of interest who is Reams and what is his association with CAFC?

My biggest concern with the appointment of Luzon is not the man, although that may change come the next few weeks but the complete pigs ear that they have made of it. Whilst I would have been disappointed that there was not a process for recruitment of a new manager with alternative candidates, I can understand that RD wanted his own man*. This being the case he should have been transparent and honest with us instead of this charade, which has further destroyed his credibility and completely destroyed KM's and at the same time humiliated her.

*It is not that unusual in industry for senior positions to be filled without a recruitment process.
