Good point gained. They were very good. Extremely quick. We were roasted all day long on the wings. No support for poor Gomez from Wilson. Just sloppy really but a good point nonetheless. Worried about Vetokele
We were terrible today. Looked like we didn't want it. Wasn't happy with the performance at all.
The lack of urgency and ideas going forward reminded me of last season. The players looked knackered and we had hardly any shots. The time wasting started in the first half, we were the home team fgs we should have tried to kill it off.
Another striker and Gudmundsson back is 100% needed.
All that being said.. We still haven't lost. I don't know how, but I'm happy with that.
The players looked absolutely shattered by the end. Igor, JJ and Buyens were flagging seriously in the last 15 and we totally list any grip on the midfield.
We didn't dominate but Wolves are a very good side, a top striker aside. Given that we had chances to go two up (George's airshot comes to mind), you could argue that it might have been different on another night.
Wolves came back strongly and deserved their point. Igor was clean through in injury time but didn't have the energy to burst away from the centre back and the pressure put on caused a heavy touch for Ikeme to mop up.
Given our strong start, I'll take a point against this strong, high on confidence Wolves team. Good chance to put it right on Saturday at Rotherham.
Wiggins and Wilson were having shockers and both responded differently. Wiggins kept showing for the ball and kept making mistakes, Wilson just hid and got hauled off. Bikey and TBH were beaten on the turn a couple of times, we'll concede a couple from one of them trying to play it out of the 6 yard box. Gomez looked scared to make a mistake, hardly put his foot and made a couple of runs but plugged a gap. Buyens and JJ faded and last command of the pitch second half, igor didn't stop running but needs to shoot earlier, George should have scored a couple in the first half, links play really well, and Cousins showed a few neat touches but his control let's him down. Bulot looked very lively and floats around the pitch, Moussa didn't do much but one run was outstanding, just lacked end product. Off day but drew with a promotion contender, on to the next one we go
Two teams trying to keep the ball on the deck and going for the win made for a decent game. Thought we edged the first half and deserved to lead. All Wolves after the break and although it was a scrappy goal they deserved to equalise. Expected to lose it from there but we came back into a bit a finished slightly stronger. Draw overall probably fair, but we couldn't have had a huge amount of complaints if we'd lost but also Tucs and Jacko both missed excellent chances so might have won by a couple of goals on another day. Typical Championship game in that respect.
As I said in the match thread, Tucs has some nice touches and there are signs of some link up between him and Igor, but he doesn't look like he'll be able to hold the ball up against Championship centre backs and that does make it tough for us to relieve pressure on the defence.
Buyens has some class about him and enjoys the space, but this big pitch of ours gives the opposition space to work in too and Wolves just ran straight through midfield a few times, as did Watford on Saturday. Jacko often looks half a yard behind play and doesn't seem to be up around the front two that much but also gets caught upfield if the oppo break. Fluffed his one chance tonight too, which is unlike him to be fair.
Still think Cousins' running power would be better used in the middle. That said, Bulot didn't do a great deal when he came on but very early days yet for him.
Moussa is a little frustrating, but you can see he has skill and is going to score a worldy at some point.
Igor worked hard but didn't look that likely to score, still had some good involvement though and set up both the big chances for Tucs and Jacko.
Gomez has the lot, how is he supposed to be a centre back but doing dribble drag back thingies on the run like a tricky winger?
Rest of the defence looked okay, but a little exposed by the midfield at times. Some nice driving runs by TBH and great somersaults from Bikey. More good saves from Henderson too and he was unlucky with the goal as he'd kept it out until it hit Jacko on the post. Probably has to go down as a og.
Cousins and Wilson both got through plenty of running, but didn't do anything outstanding, except for one driving run and shot from Cousins.
My gut feeling is that we will start to fade away a little bit over the coming weeks as we lack a bit of squad depth still, but it's been a tough run of fixtures for such a new team to have to start with so hopefully I'm wrong and we'll improve as the team beds in further.
We keep saying that every team we play are promotion contenders. I just think it is a really strong division this year and it will feel like we are playing top teams almost every week.
I think we need to change our approach as teams are threatening to overrun us at home. We need to have more of the ball.
Very good game. We bossed the first half and Tucudean really should have got a couple. Second half was the compete opposite. On Saturday Henderson had a blinder but Watford didn't create many clear chances - tonight Wolves had great chances but were profligate.
I felt Bob got the first sub wrong today...it was out wide where we needed a change as wolves were dominating the flanks. That said, Moussa did well when he came on.
Torrid night for Wiggins and Gomez. We missed Solly, big time. Buyens and Jacko got dominated in the second half with Cousins fairly quiet on the left.
What a finish from Bikey! Ben Haim was calmness on the ball as usual but did give it away on occasion. Like most, Wilson was good in the first half, poor in the second.
Bulot was lively without any apparent positional discipline I hope it was a deliberate ploy by Bob to give him a free role otherwise this could be a problem!
Really going Igor is OK. He's involved in pretty much all our good attacking work.
All in all, I couldn't have complained if we'd lost this one after wolves' second half performance so I have to be happy with a point.
Tucudean does well but not well enough - gave the ball away a lot and missed a couple of great chances. Cousins was excellent but Gomez not at his best early on, but improved. Wiggins some sloppy play. Definitely a point gained. Bikey immense in every way - MOM. Thought Bulot's cameo showed promise. Bit of a worry that Vetokele looked injured at the end.
I was there and blot added more urgency. That is our main problem, we can be lethal but we need to control games more, at least home ones. If we hold possession better and get gudmunsson and blot playing then I think we will be better. Time to consider morrison because whilst bikes is excelling, Ben haim is shaky t times and slowish. I think to be fair we can be dangerous and score goals and seem very unified. We should not expect the finished article yet and we are not going to win every game.
Thought we were lacklustre throughout tucdean was awful as was Jackson and Wilson. Over ran in midfield they were slicker.and quicker. Good job their forwards were also crap. We arnt going to keep on scrapeing results.

To be fair, after tonight's games, only 3 of 7 opponents so far are top half - Watford Wolves and Brentford, so maybe the start hasn't been quite as tough as we think.
I wrote pre match if you can't win, don't lose. We certainly did that because some of our blocks and gut busting runs to close down and get in the way of stuff in the last quarter of the game was actually quite heroic. I know that Wolves like Watford will come away saying how did we not win that, and they have more of a case than Watford because they slammed the post in the first half, and were clearly a well marshalled team astutely managed for the game by Mr Jackett. Despite arguably being a better team than any we have played at home so far, they still missed the target, shot or headed over, and did not stop us from a corner just as we did not stop them. A draw is a draw and personally I am not dismayed by it, especially as we remain undefeated as the games mount up and the season really starts to get into a rhythm. Wolves were good, they have clearly got a good ethic forged on the anvil of last season, they were never defeatist, and altered and adapted well to get something out of the game. Sako was a danger throughout, and Henry had a really good first half, but they were also a good team, up for it, positive and eager and a really tough test for us. I thought we were a bit jaded but not lacking in effort nonetheless, and we still had in our team players who might have punished Wolves anyway. I thought in the last quarter the referee was not inclined to give us many decisions, and I thought the referee's positioning throughout the game was poor and led to a below average display from him generally. (extremely) Young Joe Gomez grew into the game, as did Wiggy with late heroics after a few dodgy moments. I thought Jordan Cousins played really well for us, had his best game of the season so far, and credit to him for producing in an alien position. generally though we were half a notch below par in a lot of areas of the pitch and the good news is that we now know we can do better. The major concern is the thin nature of the squad overall, Bulot arrived and huffed and puffed, but was as yet indistinguishable from Moussa. Igor was well marked, and lacked that extra bit of energy to do much about it, mind you he always carries a threat to the opposition. It is an extra point, we remain undefeated, and we must look to a very difficult game at Rotherham and hope that our class can overcome their incredible work ethic.
They utterly battered us. Henry's shot off the inside of the post, the overhead kick tipped over, shots peppered in left right and centre and about 30pc possession.
Too many workhorses in midfield and not enough creativity hence why we are conceding too much possession. Moussa needs to start in the middle along side Buyens with Bulot outwide, im afraid we need to dip into the loan market this week. Should finish in top ten providing we mostly stay injury free and probably about 3 to 4 players short of a challenging for promotion side. Need gudmunsson back too and its now up to bob to show some balls and sort the midfield out especially wingers as Cousins certainly aint one although he did ok at times tonight, Wilson had a bit of a shocker.

We were lucky to go in 1 up.
and two great chances for Tucudean. I felt we should have gone in at least two up.
First home game I've missed in ages & so watched on the "live" stream..........well, I say live but it was 5 mins behind normal time when I found out that we had scored from Sky Sports whilst Henderson had the ball in his hand. weird. Had to turn it off with 10/15/20 mins to go ( no idea how long we were into the 2md half but Wolves had scored........) so no idea if we improved but on that showing we are lucky not to be shipping in 2 or 3 a game - thought we were awful.
As someone else posted on here, we cant continue having less than 40% of the play at home. The BBC stats are shocking. 1 corner to their 11. 7 shots to their 16. It was the same on Saturday. We play some good football but (as usual) there is no end product. I do recall George having a couple of chances in the first half (not on target though) & I hear that we went close towards the end of the game - but we just don't work the keeper enough.
in the style of oohahh...............0% top 2, 5% top 6, 20% 6-12, 75% below 12th.

We looked well knackered. Is that why Henderson carried on wasting time at 1 - 1?
thought tucendeanand buyens hsd a bit of a mere
This is where not getting another striker in during the transfer window will come back and bite us.
Worried about Vetokele

Onwards and upwards
Charlton looked tonight like what they are - a team that is 2/3rds new and only worked with their manager since July.
But for all the nice passing from Wolves, it was another goal conceded from a corner!
Entertaining match overall.

We are 2/3 players away from greatness , GK, attacking midfielder and striker
Well done the lads for digging in we would have lost that sort of game in the past
