I hate hearing people saying 'for free'. It should either be just 'free' or 'for nothing'. 'For free' has become so common you could say it has now become correct as language evolves over time.........but I still think it is wrong!

This is on the business section of the BBC's web site: "All market data carried by BBC News is provided by DigitalLook.com. The data is for your general information and enjoys indicative status only." If the BBC can't even get things right, what chance the rest of us?
There's a shop near me that used to have a vinyl banner rather than a proper sign, and they'd obviously typoed the order, because it read "What She Want's". I'm not especially pedantic, but that was like nails down a blackboard every time I went past it. Thankfully they've been able to splash out for a proper shopfront now.
