No. Surely no. The bloke who runs the Dr Kish website tells us that he met Karel Fraeye, the European Director of Network Scouting Services ( or similar) . And Mr Fraeye told him the bell is tolling for him or something.
So quite obviously it's a ridiculous idea that all Mr Fraeye could come up with for our striking needs is a bloke who bombed at Standard (and Lierse) and a bloke who was flogged by social media auction in the summer window, and has been shown to be completely inadequate for the championship.

Well if he comes to Charlton I will have to change my tune from him being a complete flop, waste of time and money to this fella has goals in him (have you see his YouTube compilation) and he's only young and needs time to settle in a different environment , the last thing we want is the boo boys on his case and how can we write him off before we've seen him play a few games , hopefully Wigan can pay some of his wages he has a Belgian relative and ten million Twitter followers .....
It's gonna be a boring Belgian bumpy ride strap yourselves in

As the old bat said, No.No.No.No.No.
The bloke who 'bombed at Lierse' scored 8 in 17.
From Wikipedia, make of it what you will:
Celtic qualified for the Champions League group stage and signed two new strikers, Amido Balde and Teemu Pukki, minimising Watt's opportunities at Celtic.[15] On 31 August 2013, Watt moved to Belgian Pro League club Lierse S.K. on a season long loan deal for the 2013–14 season.[15] In September 2013, the young striker was brought on as a substitute against Kortrijk in his debut for Lierse and, within 90 seconds of being on the field, he scored with his second touch of the ball.[16] Despite this, Watt was branded lazy and unfit by Lierse boss Stanley Menzo.[17] In response, Watt pulled off his shirt after scoring against Lommel United a few days later in the Belgian Cup resulting in a yellow card. Watt explained: "I just wanted to show that I am not fat. I knew perfectly well that if I took my top off I would get a yellow card – it happens all over the world but I just wanted to show everyone that I am in prime condition. I am not too fat and I wanted to prove this.”[18]
Watt struggled to hold down a first team place thereafter, and was sent off on 2 November 2013, within a minute of coming on as a second-half substitute against Charleroi, however the red card was later rescinded.[19] A week later, Watt was sent home from training after a row with manager Stanley Menzo.[20] He was then again publicly criticised by Menzo in December 2013, with the manager stating he would not take him back from Scotland for the second half of the season. However, Watt was recalled to the side on Boxing Day and scored twice against Mechelen in a 3-0 win. Menzo commented afterwards about Watt, "Today I am glad we have him but tomorrow I might want to murder him! That’s just how it is with him."[21] Watt travelled with Lierse to Portugal in January 2014 for a mid-season friendly match against Dutch side Heerenveen, with the striker scoring both of his side's goals in a 2-3 defeat.[22]
Sounds like there's two sides to that story Prague. Player seems to have an attitude. Manager seems to be a bit of a plank at man-management! Also seems to suggest that Watt has goals in him, despite any issues with his manager.

Maybe, but caught up with two Celtic mates during the week who weren't exactly enthusiastic. Interestingly they said he was a very thin build and for that reason not a holdup type of striker. But at Lierse they were talking about him being fat!
If Bob believes he can turn him round, then great, let's give it a go. But if it is just a case of " striker, you need Bob? Now let me see, this tin is marked ' striker' there you go, Bob, now stop complaining and get on with the job" then I am pessimistic.
Thirty years ago I watched Halloween and I've only just got over the trauma I felt when the bloke appeared to be dead then suddenly sat upright. Now I feel like I'm going through it all over again. Nurse! My medication!
Shit. I'm getting confused. What do we go with now.
Before Wigan signed him we were wetting our pants with his beautiful masterpiece of a you tube video. A few months at Wigan and he becomes the bullet we managed to dodge.
Personally I think we should go with 'he hasn't settled up north and he will feel more at home in London'
Isn't there a rule about loan signings that you can't play for more than two clubs in a season? Delort played two games for Tours before signing for Wigan

Delort can be loaned or transferred one more time.
Currently under the FIFA Transfer Regulations a football player is unable to play for more than three teams in one season. This applies whether the player has been transferred or simply is on loan with that club.
This also applies regardless of what country that player has plied his trade in, whether that is in Europe, Africa or South America. As long as a player has represented a club in a league under the adjudication of a FIFA Member Association they will only be able to play for three different clubs.
However, this does mean that a football player is free to represent a total of three different clubs in any league in the world over the course of one season.

Thanks. Pity. My search for a murder weapon for this thread has to continue.
On the Sky Sports website, in the "Saturday's Paper Talk" section, it claims that The Sun is reporting that we're going to sign "Wigan flop Andy Delort" on loan.
This is the best Xmas present I could've got. I wanted 50 pages out this thread and I reckon we might just kick start the 9 other threads that were also dedicated to him.
At the end of the day, what we must not forget that it was not Delort who did not want to come to us, but the Tours owner/chairman, (whatever), said he would not be released until the last day of the transfer window (making sure he got the best bid in). RD set his price but Wigan was willing to pay more, so the Tours bloke agreed to sell him to them. Delort could have said no, but would still be with Tours. If he does come to us, I hope supporters give him a chance, and I hope he is worth all the fuss

I don't mean to pick on you, Ross, but this bollocks has been going on for months.
What evidence do you have that RD made an offer? Anything, other than what you may have read on here?
I don't believe we ever made an offer, for reasons we discussed ad nauseam back in the summer. And I don't believe he is coming here now. I hope not. Because if he does, it means that our so called European scouting network can only come up with two ideas for a striker. One an existing flop with another network club, and the other a player who appears to have been offered to at least 16 clubs before finally pulling a mug buyer, where he duly flopped.
I hope and believe that the network really is better than that.
