George Tucudean from the Mothership - spent last season on loan to Dinamo Bucharest?

Wikipedia says he's 6 ft 1 and plays as a second striker, could be a good guess.

Though I have noticed all the foreign signings so far already speak English, maybe something they're taking into account when deciding on targets?
  • Apparantly imports who speak our language make for better players.
  • And Peeters is set to bring in another frontman from overseas.
"There is another striker coming in who will travel with us," said Peeters. "He will instill some quality that is not at this moment on the pitch.
"I can't mention the name until we sign him. Normally he will arrive today and travel tomorrow."

I read that as Andi Peters

Ahhhh, I remember him when he was in the closet.

Or was it the broom cupboard?
  • I still reckon Igor de Camargo. Plays for Standard 6'2". Scored against us in that tournament

Like Bob's "add quality". Could RD have his hand in his pocket again?
  • I reckon either Igor de Camargo or Gaetano Monachello.
  • We got loads of Belgians so must be Moroccan
  • Chris Wood ...

You can't do that to us.

    Out with it!
  • Have I missed something, is this Chris Wood a done deal or something?
  • Yeah I read it just as a suggestion like the millions of other names including Mateja Kezman...

You sure it's not George Clinton?
No cigar for that suggestion, AUN....

  • Genuinely, with a month till the season starts and the squad will have then we have to be aiming for solid top half at least.

Wood, Vetokele, Reza being backed up / supplied by Moussa, JBG and one of thre best young talents in the league in Joe Gomez.

Big Bob has no excuses. Think Church and Piggott will join PP and get shipped out.

Me too.....great signing....Never knew simon church had a brother.
  • I highly doubt it it's chris wood

    Chris Wood ...

You were the first to break this so I assume you are not telling porkies.......... (though you seem to be backed up by others).
  • I reckon either Igor de Camargo or Gaetano Monachello.

Full name - Igor Albert Rinck de Diver Camargo

    Reza will like him
  • Chris Wood wouldn't be coming from overseas he's in Leicester.
  • Would be happy with Wood. Didn't realise he was still only 22. 6 ft 3 so easily passes the height test.

Leicester have been after Ulloa from Brighton who is also a big striker, Wood probably isn't in their plans.
  • And Peeters is set to bring in another frontman from overseas.
"There is another striker coming in who will travel with us," said Peeters. "He will instill some quality that is not at this moment on the pitch.
"I can't mention the name until we sign him. Normally he will arrive today and travel tomorrow.
"I'm happy with the second half - the first half we didn't do too well. Okay, we played with mixed teams and they [Welling] played the game of the season. But for the first half it was not good enough.
"In the second half we created some chances and you don't feel it is going to be your day - you can create whatever you want and you're not going to score.
"We see things we already knew and we had to work on. Tomorrow we leave for Spain. It's better you get a little knock on the chin earlier in pre-season than in the competition."

    "....from overseas "

Obviously Darren Bent's been called back from his Spanish hols !

  • Maybe the private jet banked in over the North Sea into City Airport.........
  • Why is everyone talking about Chris Wood asif we have signed him?
