clearly going to be either the PSG or Monaco guy. Would love it if we signed Bent though, the number 10 shirt is available. I doubt it though, we wait and see........
By Richard Cawley CHARLTON head coach Bob Peeters has revealed that a striker is set to be signed in time for him to join them on their pre-season training camp in Spain. The Addicks lost 2-0 at Welling on Saturday and have yet to score in three friendly outings. And Peeters is set to bring in another frontman from overseas. "There is another striker coming in who will travel with us," said Peeters. "He will instill some quality that is not at this moment on the pitch. "I can't mention the name until we sign him. Normally he will arrive today and travel tomorrow. "I'm happy with the second half - the first half we didn't do too well. Okay, we played with mixed teams and they [Welling] played the game of the season. But for the first half it was not good enough. "In the second half we created some chances and you don't feel it is going to be your day - you can create whatever you want and you're not going to score. "We see things we already knew and we had to work on. Tomorrow we leave for Spain. It's better you get a little knock on the chin earlier in pre-season than in the competition."
Talks well. Seems confident of the signing, but has not signed yet. Going to Spain tomorrow. When will he sign, tonight whilst wathching the Brazil vs Holland game with Bob or in the morning before travelling.
"He will instill some quality that is not at this moment on the pitch''.
Think he was talking about Moussa, Gudmudsson and Reza who were not there alongside the new striker.
And he has a point, admittedly they all have to prove themselves in the Championship to varying degrees but the quality they all have seems pretty clear IF Big Bob can harness it. All three of those players could step right into either Charlton team that played earlier today, and probably improve it.
Did we get a definitive on who it was sitting on the bench with the protective boot? I didn't think it looked like Moussa, but as I was in the stand opposite couldn't be sure.
Peeters said he's coming from overseas. Why are people saying players in this country? It's probably someone from Belgium. Look up target men and you might find him
I just hope its a player with some experience of championship football. Someone who does not have to get used to the hustle and bustle of English football, and who can hit the ground running! Cant see it though.

Where has he said this? All I've seen is that he'll arrive today, that doesn't necessarily mean from abroad. Or have I missed something?
It was said in the interview wasn't it? Maybe I'm wrong. I'm taking a speculative guess at Igor De Camargo or Tom De Sutter
All he said was "He should arrive today and will travel tomorrow and once he is here we will see what is necessary for us". No mention of him arriving from abroad.

Iron supporting mate told me so it must be true
But I could be wrong.
