  • Another striker with no championship experience and who is belguim. PERFECT!!!
  • As I posted my source still will not reveal a name as I said last night there has been no real concrete link..

However he did say there WAS no real link until today so we'll find out soon,

To me that more or less says it's George Tucudean but again .. I'm in the dark with this one

Your source sounds like he hasnt a scooby. ;--)

It's 100% George, midday i got the word.

  • So has he actually signed as not on the OS yet?
  • He sounds like a step up from polish Pete who is rumoured to be off to St Truiden. This sounds like it's all about getting network players in the right places for them and the clubs. I trust that if pre season reveals a problem upfront (or in goal) then we buy or borrow the right players to complete the squad and give the new signings and head coach the best possible chance of putting us top half by end September.
It's so important to hit the ground running in the Championship as I'm sure good results will help the squad find their feet even quicker.
  • Also where is belguim?!

Even if he was from there he would be Belgian. Not Belgium. He's not a country.
    Bit of a nit pick.
  • I thought if he was from Romania, that made him a rumour. ....

I've heard that the new striker has been delayed at Calais. He's trying to avoid French customs and find a lorry that's heading to SE7

How to upset the pc brigade in one sentence!
  • Any name that ends in Dean can surely mean only one nickname.......Come On DIXIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pete Finch will have a field day with this lot in his excitable way. :-)

It should make for interesting listening. I hope his false teeth are ready for it.

I struggled enough last weekend with the Hungarian names..... I have asked Bob to make sure we get someone with a name I can actually say... I suggested Darren Bent.
    Lord help me....

  • Can't see anything being announced today as they won't be able to submit paperwork until tomorrow and they will want to ensure all ok before making it official. I'll be surprised if it isn't George though.

Sounds a bit like playing that children's favourite game( well, in the Dark Ages when I was a gal) - Happy Families.

Hopefully we'll be the one to complete our "set" satisfactorily before 9th August.

Another one we once nearly signed . Didn't Curbs have him lined up to sign from Bolton only to be gazumped by Chelsea ?

Did Peeters manage him at Bruges? If so this is possible.

But now would he be more Barnes or Di Canio?

    Eidur played under Peeters maybe?
  • I would be very happy to have a player like eider around the club right now hos age experience and know how would be invaluable to players like nego cousins gomez piggott fox Lennon even to those with more experience like igor and the ice man
  • Eidur was great, but the word was is the important part of that assessment. Not sure he would improve us that much.

gudjohnsen will be 36 in september, so getting on a bit would be an understatement!...then again there's perhaps a link with peeters re cercle brugge...
  • He is usually quite itk but he was wrong few times last year
  • It's more what he can offer in.the changing room and around a very young squad
