Comedy defending for both their goals made it far closer than it should have been. Solution: hopefully Wilson fit on Saturday, Morro back in the centre.
Reza and Sordell really clicked 2nd half - this is the partnership that can keep us up.
Jackson not at his best and needs/deserves a game off. But we are woefully short of cover, presumably Pritch not seen as good enough even for the bench...
Leeds need 2 wins and two draws to be safe? You've got to be having a laugh to be suggesting that 54 points wouldn't keep a team up. Maybe in some 'mathematical certainty world' but not in the real world.
It's like saying that I have a chance of becoming Prime Minister of Great Britain. I do if every other Briton dies in the next year but it's laughably unlikely.
Leeds have an E# of 2 and two thirds. That means they need to get 2 wins and 2 draws to be sure of safety. However, if Millwall or others drop points, they'll need less, obviously.

Poyet was incredible tonight. All over the pitch and stopped attack after attack, he reads the game like a 30 year old but he's got the physical attributes of a 19 year old. He's got a special career ahead of him if he makes the right choices

I'd consider resting him for Brighton. Barnsley is far more crucial to us.
Huge win. Poyet and Cousins immense. AA is someone who can create something out of nothing. Morrison can't play right back again. Sordell had some confidence and played well as did Reza apart from some bottled tackles.

Mathematical certainty is exactly what I was talking about. Nothing more, nothing less. Didn't you realise that?
A great result, with probably the worst defensive performance I've seen from us since the abandoned game against Donny at the start of the season. Moving Morro to right back destabilised us more than it should have done (albeit he is our best central defender) so let's hope we can get Lawrie Wilson back sharpish. Both goals conceded were really poor (I think Wiggins diabolically played Yeovil onside for the first), although their goalie made a real mess of Reza's tame cross for our third. Marvellous Marvin is lethal from 6 inches out.
A little disappointed that we sat back after we went 3-1 up, although to be fair, Yeovil looked bereft of ideas until we gave them their second goal with more comedic defending. As my son remarked, it was a chaotic game generally, with the sort of defending you normally see on the Football League show at 00.45.
Still we picked a great time to collect our second three goal haul of the season and the result and the League table is ultimately all that matters at this stage of the season.
I thought that Cousins and Poyet were the pick of our players. Astrit is also a class player - if only he had a better engine. Reza showed some nice touches but missed an excellent chance and is a little lightweight for this league.
This ain't gonna be easy. What is there to say? Three points, three points, three points. It was a dirty messy mish mash pudding of a game, where the imperious Diego Poyet was the shining beacon of a footballer, whilst all around him on both sides were (what did Dana sing?) 'all kinds of everything'. For a start Yeovil were better organised, more coherent and sorted as a team than us, where each player knew his job and more or less stuck to their task. yet we won because essentially the sum of our parts was not as good as the individual moments from our players. I said it was weird. We had things like Sordell scoring, and then him having a shot so wide it nearly went down the players tunnel, where Astrit celebrated his goal with so much energy that he then became nailed on to retire exhausted later, as he indeed did. Where Reza showed masterly touches and pathetic dives, where he 'set up' a goal from what seemed the keepers mistake, but missed a virtually open goal from a Wiggy wriggling run that presented a chance on a plate. Glaring mistakes gave Yeovil two goals, not helped by the absence of Wilson and Morro at right back (tho he sort of grew into that position as the game progressed), yet their keeper pulled off a couple of excellent saves as we attacked in the first half. Nothing seemed to make any sense, Jacko wide left to start with, ending with Cousins kind of on the right by the end of the game, we were sort of improvising and making things up as we went along throughout the game. The referee was equally inconsistent throughout also. As I sort of said earlier, the only thing that made kind of sense was Yeovil, but they weren't good enough and lost. Their desperation towards the end was as palpable as ours, but this time Yeovils old fashioned reliance on 'character, that has probably good enough to win them points in other matches, was not enough, probably because they had no idea what we might do next, as I feel sure we didn't know what we were going to do next either. Yeah I am making little sense here, as the game made little sense to me. I said I wouldn't find this easy but.... Three points, three points, three points.
Every Tuesday night I am going to bed feeling like I'm hungover. Really taking it out of me, in a good way. I think we'll have a few more worrying moments, but we can't say this season has been uneventful. I thought Reza played well, along with Poyet and Cousins. It was obvious the balance was off with Morro at right back. The two goals we conceded were terrible, but thankfully we had some goals in us tonight. Haven't really got the energy to analyse it at the moment. Just GET IN THERE and recharge for Saturday.....
Reza and Marvin played well, Wilson was missed, Poyet MOM, AA is quality but blows out of his arse after 60 mins, some comical defending at times, the food is over priced, and finally can the north end stop singing staying up up untill we are totally safe, because your getting on my nerves, we are Charlton nothing is in the bag untill the fat lady sings.
We were very poor and made heavy weather of it. Morrison is not a right back - think Fox should have started. Defensively we were all over the place in the first half and Hamer had his poorest game for a long time. At 3-1 I thought we'd close the game out a little more convincingly....

We was not very poor but i agree we made heavy weather of it, but what else did you expect? This is Charlton.
Surrendered the initiative to them with a sloppy first. Not sure if it was Wiggans to blame playing them on or wood going missing. Rest of first half they were well up fot it, pouring forward in numbers, moving the ball quickly and well. You can see why they score so many.
And in the second half you could see why they let so many in.
Had them by the throat and another Hamer error let them back in. Could and maybe should have done better but were not that good to dominate an entire game.
Still, what we lack in abiliity we make up for, tonight anyway, in effort.
Sordell and Reza 2nd half looked different players. Sharp and the tricks coming off. Poor miss from Reza after wiggins great run in the first.
Morrison never looks comfortable at FB. Dervitte good other than their 2nd but also scored.
Poyet very good, Cousins had to go RM again when they were overrunning us 1st half and made us more solid.
Thank gawd for Cort. A typical "negative" defensive sub but they had brought on big players and we had to cope with that and we did.
Well done Jose and the coaches.
Shame about Millwall winning but still above them and made up ground on everyone else.
A great start completely ballsed up by the defence. Great to see Astrit off the mark. I had a moan when he hit it because I thought he should have played Sordell through. He hit it well.
The roles were reversed within the team tonight. The usual reliable defence looked nervous, shakey and out of sorts, while the attack were up for it.
No idea what Hamer was doing for the second. Cousins and Poyet were superb and Wiggins was excellent going forward in the second. Glimpses of his best. Captain Jacko was well up for it. Even Reza and Sordell played well and both did very well for what turned out to be the winner. Shout out for Morrison at right back too. He did well overall. Come on you reds!
Morrison needs to back in the centre with Dorian. Why not play Hughes or nego at right back? Harriott should not play again this season, he is awful.
Think you're being harsh on Harriott. Playing on the wrong side, he made some poor decisions but gave them something to worry about. He helped to pin them back in their half so I think it was a good substitute's performance.
Delighted. I wasn't confident we could win this, even less so when I saw Wilson was out. Big result this. I expect to lose at Brighton, but I think 47 points will be enough, especially if we beat Barnsley. I think we just relegated Yeovil.
Absolutely massive win, but a performance that was far from convincing. Decent start and then an early, individual goal from Ajdarevic. You might say he was pleased to score!! Then a messy equaliser from Yeovil and they began to pass and move and create openings with alarming ease. We rallied immediately before half-time and Wood almost put us in front, but when the whiste went it was a relief to get to the break on level terms.
A goal from Dervite, who I felt was magnificent throughout, a couple of minutes after the restart was a major boost and when Sordell increased the lead just a few minutes later we ought to have been out of sight. It didn't feel like that though and I said to my neighbour 'this isn't over yet". Indeed it wasn't and when a misjudgement by Wood allowed Yeovil in for another disappointing goal it set up a tense final twenty minutes. We kept our shape and hung on without any real scares, but weren't able to retain quality possession and that doesn't auger well for the rest of the season. Still, the points are all that matter at this stage.
It's all about opinions obviously and for me Sordell looked good tonight and I'd have thought he's our best option as central striker. Ghoochanejhad had his best game so far this evening, but neither he or Obika are doing enough to demand an automatic start. Not quite sure what to make of either of them.
Interesting that in the absence of Wilson, Riga chose to play Morrison at right back rather than risk Nego. All one can say about the back four is that it will be a relief when Wilson returns, at RB, enabling Morrison to return to the centre alongside Dervite.
One final observation. Does anybody else think that Diego Poyet must have forged his birth certificate? It's hard to believe he can be so mature at just eighteen. In some ways tonight wasn't one of his better games (he's setting very high standards), but he was again critical to our shape and game plan. He's beginning to remind me a little of Graeme Souness. Calm and assured in possession. A Rolls Royce of a player on the ball, but a different animal altogether off it. Very competitive, not afraid to put a foot in, times a tackle well with his opponent often appearing to come off worse after contact. Just for good measure he appears to read the game well, again both with the ball and without. The Boy really is some player.
We deserved the win. Both Yeovil's goals were of our own making. Morrison at right back was poor. Hamer equally so tonight. He looked to go down before the shot for the first and was all over the shop for the second. He saved us at Leeds though so we will let him have that tonight.
In the second half Sordell was much better. Reza showed some amazing touches and played like he was a class above. Good to see AA with a goal too.
Starting to really like Dervite now. Looks so dangerous at set pieces.
Blackpool well and truly in the doo-dah now. Incredible to think they had 16 points from first 6 games this season and had lost once in first 14 games - yet would suggest they are now favourites for 3rd relegation spot.
Wiggins badly at fault for their first goal by playing everyone onside but after that he had probably gave his best performance of the season. Weak header by Dervite for their second but as he had already scored for us I forgive him!! Morro improved at right back after a shaky start and the rest of the team gave much improved performances after the Reading debacle. An entertaining game with Yeovil throwing caution to the winds and flooding our box with up to 6 players (I counted them!!) Inevitably this left them open to the counter attack as exemplified by the 3rd goal crafted by Poyet and Reza. As for Poyet, he is the dogs knees and the bees bollocks. I am already resigned to him leaving us so we must enjoy him while we can in what remains of this nerve-shattering season. What a vital 3 points. And did I really hear 'Jose Riga's Red Army' after the final whistle???!!!

Exciting game but so many errors from both teams.
Both goalkeepers hopeless tonight & why was Thurum any where near our bench. Roland was there tonight hope it was not for his benefit.

Ajdarevic got things going with his goal ,Poyet did everything well, Reza produced some moments of class and Sordell had them worried.
Very messy in defence, too much messing about at the back gave them 2 easy goals.
