Good shout for Geoff Hammond. Both David Campbells were poor. There was a 5 ft 2 bloke who came from Brighton who was really poor - can't recall his name. Bullivant was supposed to be a good signing - he wasn't. Jason Lee played half a game in the mid 80s and was terrible but not so bad in his second spell. Alan Dugdale.
I don't remember amdy faye being that bad. But I don't remember him being good either. Just remembered frank nouble from a coupla years back. He was truly dire.
It's funny. Last season people were moaning at Powell for his left back choices. Playing Solly there, bringing in Seabourne on loan etc. Then he finally played Ceddy and he did the job and we all wondered why he couldn't have done that in the first place. Now some people are listing Ceddy as our worst ever player. Obviously he isn't, but it goes to show how quickly things can change in football. Maybe Powell was right to protect him a bit last season
Gary Churchouse, Billy Lansdowne, Hugh McAuley, Tony Towner, Viggo Jacobson, Johnny Ostergard and probably loads I've forgotten in the mists of time - we had tonnes of dross in the 70's and 80's
Agree with McAuley....and your right we did have some crap players back then.
Ray Tumbridge; Jim Stannard; Tony Hazell; Peter Shaw and Lawrie Madden had some awful games; Gary Churchouse was very poor; Paul Davies and Billy Lansdowne came from bigger clubs but were very average players.
The "official" worst player is probably Rogers who played during the World War 2 when Jimmy Seed appealed for a guest professional (as was common in wartime).
Seed subsequently admitted that he had been conned.

Did Pardew use that excuse for all the geniuses he recruited?
Players like Hovi, Chandler who only played a game or two, you put down as a worthwhile experiment. More baffling are the ones like Churchouse and Bacon who played a few times even though it was obvious that they weren't good enough.
OK redlanered and Richard J respect your opinions about Harry Cripps after all it is only about opinions and nothing else which goes to show how three people can watch a team and form completely different impressions of what we see which is why i like this site so much, when it isn't getting abusive that is.

Was the 5ft 2 bloke from Brighton Peter O'Sullivan ?
Players like Maurice Setters, Eamon Rodgers, Eamon Dunphy and Harry Cripps were terrible playing for us but had decent careers before so dont think they should be counted. Roger Smart always struck me as a poor footballer.

Wasn't actually the worst I've seen him play last weekend , was even worse against Sheffield Wednesday at home.
Evina didn't have a bad 1st half against Birmingham, defensively sound.
