  • Sorry worst player ever
  • Danny Green.
  • My least favourite is probably Akpo
  • Danny Green.

There's been a lot worse. Alex Dyer
  • ralphe milne or danny seabourne

    Alan McCormack was poor.
  • Mikel Alonso. One of the worst most off the pace halfs i've ever witnessed.
  • Must already be a thread on this!

    Anyway: Mike Small.
  • Neil redfearn
  • chris solly is pretty terrible

Forward (sic) we had on loan from Wet Spam 3ish years ago - worst I have ever seen getting paid - cant remember his name

    Frank Nouble
  • Cheers Scoham, thats the geezer
  • Ask me at 5pm tomorrow and I could be saying Thuram.

Right now: Hasselbaink, McCormack, Pouso (does he count?), Mikel Alonso.
  • Alan Simonsen - too short :-)
  • This gets done about once every three months.

    Worst ever player: Amdy Faye
Worst ever performance: Miguel Llera, Col U away about three seasons ago
  • Omar Pouso... Has anyone ever lasted such a short period?
  • Tom Hovi

There's a consistent flow of competition for this accolade where Charlton are concerned. We have an uncanny knack of uncovering new candidates on a very frequent basis so it needs to be constantly reviewed.

  • Traore. Extra minus points for the money we spent.
  • In recent years, worth adding el khalej, who was on loan from Southampton.
  • El Khalej, Pouso, Robbie Mustoe, Traore, Faye - admittedly all in the top division. If I have to choose one, it's got to be Alonso. That penalty he gave away was truly shocking!
  • Harsh on Akpo. Not cultured but done a job for us when we had no money.

Hard to disagree... i.e. the other names mentioned all proved they couldnt handle it in the Premier League but may have done a better job for us in League One - Alonso on the other hand played seven times for Bolton in the Premier League yet then proved that day against Brentford he couldnt even hack League One level

Viggo Jacobsen. Truly hopeless. He had a 3 year contract, but never got a game in years 2 and 3' so just hung around in the reserves.

In his last year, Alan Mullery had a supporters' Q&A evening, and to everyone's astonishment, someone asked why he couldn't get a game, and wasn't he somewhat overlooked. Mullery just about kept a straight face, but didn't mince his words, and said something along the lines of "he's not capable of being a professional footballer"

He was our Ali Dia, totally out of his depth. And we're not talking about the premiership here....
  • Pretty much every Dowie signing except Carson.

    Spot on, on all counts.

Don't think I saw that game, but surely can't be a worse performance than Francis had in the cup (think it was the last time he played for us) before powell put him out of his misery........
