  • I'm probably the only one who actually thinks this is a good signing.

Don't you just love those 'told you so' moments ;-)

No. He has a proven pedigree in English football. Wouldnt necessarily have him as first choice, but think he could be good back up for Morro / ANO. Lennon as 4th choice, and Gomez (who is only just 17 for crying out loud) being able to develop a bit.
With you all the way ;)

I must admit I do not know as much about some footballers as others seem to, and was very worried when reading comments about the signing of TBH and Bikey, from know on, I shall wait to see how the player does before taking any notice of so called experts

I was just pleased we'd signed somebody I'd heard of.
  • I think if you read old media articles where managers are talking about him, he is described as a top professional.

The attitude issue seems to stem from his time at Pompey, where he was hardly at fault for accepting a contract they ultimately couldn't afford to meet the terms of.

Some people have still not forgiven him for what happened at Portsmouth. One Charlton fan will not go to see Charlton again until Ben Haim has gone, calling him a greedy bastard. Yet the people who gave him the contract get off scot free.

Whoever he/she is, is a muppet, potentially gonna miss a great season for no reason what so ever, TBH has been decent this season and is not going anywhere

Ignorance of the highest order and obviously not a true Charlton fan.

Interesting reading the first couple of pages of this thread.

Would love to know who this Charlton fan who isn't going to see Charlton because of TBH is.

TBH will not be playing against Birmingham City on Saturday, Michael Morrison will start...and Morro has a chance to remind everybody what a good player he is.

I would guess that the reason is not money or football issues.

It is a poster on Not606. He is vehemently. anti Ben Haim and will not go to see us again until he is gone. A bit over the top but hey each to their own, move on.

Does this chap also bang on about financial conspiracies, Zionism and how the National Socialists were misunderstood?

Bit OTT. Ben Haim seems like a decent bloke. Can tell he's a proper team player and always very respectable on twitter.

If we signed some cxnt like Nile Ranger I could understand (as I would boycott myself) but as far as I know Tal hasn't done any real harm.

Tal Ben Haim is bloody useless. Devoid of pace and unconcerned when caught out of position. He's not bothered and we shouldn't be looking

    One of my favourites.

Jokes aside, he had proved a lot of people wrong this year. He is a player with champions league experience so it goes without saying that he will be able to cope with championship football.

The big surprise to me is his brilliant attitude
Yep, bit strong that, regardless of how well he's done for us now. Must have been having a bad day. I still have minor reservations regarding his rashness making some challenges in the box - definitely could have given away two penalties this season - but he's been strong, consistent, and as you say has had an excellent attitude. Very happy to be wrong about this one. Sorry Tal!

Yeah, that! And in team sheets, I read that as TBC (to be confirmed!) :(

Never seen players needing numbering before.
"T Ben Haim" and "T Ben Haim II"
The striker version (number 2) got both the 2nd goal and the assist for the first.

HALLELUJAH! If only more would ;O)
...and for more evidence on the flip side, a certain French Wigan striker.
