Currently travelling home from this one. More than deserved the point...
The refereeing throughout the game was unbelievable at times. Thought the team never gave up throughout the 90. The style of football can sometimes be questioned but you can't fault the sprit in the camp. Crowd went mad when Jackson stuck the ball in the net. Captions cameo!
Ipswich fans seemed very deflated when leaving the stadium. Powell is unquestionably the man for this job. With more resources we could be looking at a bright future up his guidance.
Stand out performances for me today was Morrison. Centre of midfield is also starting to really look the part. Good start to 2014.
We must have been watching different game! Cool would av been too weak for that assist church provided and is just not going to be good enough, I would have put jacko on and pushed up wingers b4 bringing him on
I wernt there so I can't comment really but I have spoke to three there and all said powell got all subs right and at the right time first time in ages according to one of them
Jackson (when not injured) struggles to last 90 mins. That's the dilemma. He will get you a goal here or there but is off the pace. He has often said it himself that the premiers leagues prob too fast for him and I think the Championship is now the same for him.
Kept up with the game thanks to RedM & co's excellent commentary. Thank you all!
Sounds like Attwell, unsurprisingly, had a stinker. Never rated him as a ref.
Fantastic spirit in that squad. We're not going down under Powell. I love Jackson to bits and if he can keep making that sort of impact from the bench then we'll be a much better team for it. I can't see how we can fit him into the first XI now or into the future however.
I've spoken to a few people and they were really impressed with Cook. I'm glad that he got on in all honesty. Hes not exactly had much of a chance in the league in the past. It's hard to judge a Championship player in a cup match vs Oxford with loads of other youngsters.
I am delighted with an unbeaten 6 points from the last 4 games. I dreaded the holiday period with a patched up squad.Jacko once more moves he is our talisman.Another reason JJ is so valuable to us is that he is left footed and with the exception of Evina Harriott or Hollands he offers us a balance that others do not particularly when taking set pieces.
The only result that went against us was Wednesday, we nudge a further point above Donny and the Spanners and Barnsley drawing at St Andrews actually keeps Birmingham in the mix as does Brighton's late leveller against Bournemouth which means the Cheeries don't pull too far clear.
I think refs have a real tough job and have always supported them, they do make mistakes but they do it honestly and many are so tight that it is hard to tell yourself what is the right decision. The vast bulk of fans are biased also so always feel they are hard done by.
That said Attwell is just an awful ref and should have been kicked out long ago, I wasn't there but am not surprised that the feedback is poor against this man. Some people are very talented but find themselves in the wrong job...
Great point, well done to the team and to CP. Would be great to have a take over completed and some cash/players in before the next league game.
With Solly, Wiggins, Morro, Stephens, Cousins, Wilson and Kermy we have the basis of a decent side at this level
I thought we were class 2nd half and if we had scored what was a deserved equalised, a little bit earlier, I think we could have taken all 3 points. Ipswich fans on Twitter admitting we were very good value for the point. It's irrelevant when you score really, as long as you do.
Great penalty save from Alnwick kept us in the game and you could see that even though we were 1-0 down, most Charlton fans were convinced there was something in the game for us. Most times we've been 1-0 down away this season, it has felt as though defeat was inevitable (particularly Burnley), but not today.
Powell's changes were excellent for me today, and at the right times. Bringing Jacko on when he did - at a point when we were well on top - was critical because Ipswich began to visibly retreat further and further with each passing minute. Eventually it cost them. Just can't see them being in the top 6 come the end of the season, they're an incredibly ordinary side.
Sordell started the match up front today - after a few called for him to replace Church - but he was woeful again. One decent pass his sole contribution up until getting substituted because of what looked like a hamstring injury. Cook's introduction was unexpected, but I think he played okay.
All in all another good point, four unbeaten, and I think that maybe - just maybe - we might have turned a corner!
I was at this game and I remember saying to my uncle that I was not impressed with the referees performance. I looked at it in the most mutual way possible and he got a lot of the decisions wrong. about 6 of charltons corners were stopped because of a foul, something I thought was suspicious in itself. as far as the game went, great performance from the boys, really pleased to see them still fighting for SCP. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the wanker in the red getting ripped to pieces by our supporters. great stuff. COYR
Pitch was exceptional considering the rain it has had, puts ours to shame.
Referee absolutely awful
Would like you see the first half penalty claim again where Stewart was booked, looked like a pen to me.
We were very average today, but I felt Ipswich were there for the taking. It's the lack of quality in the final third that lets us down. Oh for an Andy Reid to pull the strings for us.
Fantastic penalty save from Alnwick, rejuvenated the team and drove us on for the equaliser.
Just got back, great spirit and battling performance. Ipswich should have had a penalty right at the start, looked like we should have when Stewart was booked for diving, we were down the other end but he was going like a rocket and looked like he'd already gone past the defender when he was clipped. The penalty given looked a bit harsh too. Great save by Alnwick. Sordell didn't do much for me and went off injured, fair play to Cook he looked lively if not a little inexperienced at times. I thought the introduction of Church unsettled them and stretched their back line. Jackson came on didn't touch the ball then bang back of the net, his ability to score crucial goals is amazing, my son and I absolutely love him. Team shape looked good from the off, great to have Wiggins and Solly back, Wilson looked a little off today. Yann usual battling performance.
It's a shame it hasn't worked out with Sordell. Life goes on...
Also a shame, that every club has a couple of keyboard warrior bell ends. If they don't rate someone as a footballer, that's fine, it's an opinion. But being happy when someone is injured is; sad, pathetic and immature.
If it is his last game. All the best to him for the future.
Nice easy drive up the A12. Was delighted with Powell's team selection today and they didn't disappoint. It would have been a complete travesty to come away with nothing. We matched them all the way and were the better team in the second half. Very proud of the way they battled the weather, bad luck, and awful refereeing. Yann is an absolute hero, he gives everything for this club. His ball through to Stewart for the penalty that wasn't given, was sublime. As was his knockdown to set up Jackson's equaliser. We are too good to go down and there was nothing to chose between Ipswich at the top and us at the bottom. Chrissy was brave and positive today, and he was rewarded.

Bring on next week....
Come on Charlton!!!
Great point today and with Barnsley at home next a great opportunity to put some daylight between us and the bottom 3

I know shag all about football but I thought we played well considering the wet and windy conditions.
We celebrated that goal like the winner! Great knee slide from JJ.
Happy new year everyone!

Anyone saying it on twitter go to sparrows or outside the ground and tell him to his face
Fucking cowardice annoys me more than anything
EDIT
Unless ive missed something, this post by him is hardly a dig
'A bit disturbing that a few seem to be happy I've torn my hamstring.
I'm a positive person though so I know I'll be back fitter and stronger'
