  • Great point considering. Been saying for a while that JJ is going to be more and more an impact player off the bench. Well done CP and the boys.
  • Great result well done, they were on a bit of a role at the minute. But when are we going to get a decent ref ?
  • Just caught the first train back, weird game of football, not a lot really happened to be honest clear cut chance wise, embarrising defending for their goal and well from our end look a stone wall peno on Stewart first half, if he dived then I hope we cart him off back to hull as he was one on one. Wood lucky to be on the pitch after about 5 mins for a blatant penelty in my book but that's what footballs all about, grew in confidence from the penelty save and deserved a point in the end. Most Ipswich support on the train agreeing with me aswell. Well done the boys and great scenes at the end to replicate the jj knee slide for second New Year's Day running.
  • JJ does get goals, whatever other issues with his game, that can't be denied. I think he is a great option to bring on from the bench for that reason.
  • According to the commentators the pen for us was a pen no dive
  • Sounds like Cook had a half decent game when he came. Would love to see him add some goals to his game
  • Another great point and a gritty battling display and result no one would have expected once Ipswich had been given that penalty.

Pleased to keep the unbeaten run going
Well done to the 700 odd up there

    13th-21st 63% ....... Relegation 37%
  • Whilst 3 of the 4 games have been draws, it has been an important unbeaten run and definitely gives us something to build on.
  • Typical of the way things have been going here, I couldnt even enjoy the rarity of a late equalizer.

Just as JJ was about to score, leaned back on a cushion I didn't know the wifes phone was under, zip pressed down and cracked the screen. So another 50 quid well have to wait another month for.

    Good point but naffed off

  • A hearty battling display in the face of adversity: a deflected o.g., denied a blatant pen, Alnwick saves a spot-kick. Unbeaten in four; Barnsley at home next. Thanks to all who kept us posted with up-to-the-second reports. Safe journey home.

  • I'm interested in people's opinions of Atwell today. So, if you were there, what do you think? Genuinely awful or maybe a couple of 50-50 decisions that just went the other team's way?

My sister at the game who is objective and I threw her rose tinted away years ago text me afterwards " we so deserved that point. The ref nearly robbed us"
  • Satisfying point - a late goal is always sweet, especially when the ref is such an obvious 'homer'.
Keeps the run going and in good heart for the crucial visit of Barnsley.

Well done to all the lads and those loyal souls who made the trip.
  • Why can't we get any of these homers?
  • Yet again we play against 12 men. Well done the team. Fair cheered me up that finish.
  • Very good result, and if you'd offered me that from the last four games, I'd have happily taken those results. More importantly I understand from a very authoritative source that CP was told that decent results would ensure that Duchatelet backed him, if the deal goes through. Is that decent enough? I believe so, given the resources at his disposal. Unbeaten, and generally good performances, shame Duchatelet had to witness the worst one.
  • Good point - well done boys. Also well done to all those who travelled to Ipswich on such a dreadful day. I hope you all have a good journey home especially as the QE2 Bridge is closed at the Dartford crossing.
  • Ref was so poor it was unreal. Can't say I could see Stewart "dive" but if he did dive I can't see why when he was effectively one on one the keeper?

Was level with each of our corners in second half and refs decision against us each time were baffling when their centre half was holding yann by the shirt each time.

To have lost 1-0 to that lot twice in few weeks would not have been justice so well done jacko for the leveller. COYR's!!!

Attwell crawl in a hole and never referee one of our games ever again!
  • He is well known but is allowed to ref - as long as these idiots are protected we will always have to put up with poor refs.

Just seen the goals on SSN the OG looked cheap albeit unlucky. Great knockdown from Yann to Church who laid it back for JJ to strike from a central position on the edge of the box, with his right foot, into the net off a defender :-)

Get in! Great result and it sounds like it was deserved.

  • On train home. We dominated 2nd half they were poor. Cook should never of come on for Sordell but other subs spot on. Hamer will struggle to get place back in team.

Good support from us Ipswich have worse support than Watford!

Ref was a joke we shud have had pen in first half and had no idea what he was doing.
  • What a lovely deflection... :)
  • Always nice to turn our anger on a deserving incompetent official. Chuffed to bits about that, as Ipswich are a tough team, and we come away with a point, after playing fine.
    Happy days.
  • What we need is shit loads of rain to call sats game off to give the boys some extra rest just in case the take over don't happen soon enough

Very proud of the boys and especially SCP, AD,DM

Take the criticism when needed but also the plaudits

Can't imagine how hard it must be to work this constrained for funds and assistance

    Light shower should do it
  • Love Jacko to bits.

Nice one. Only complaint - it finished before we could see the full celebration…
  • Why shouldn't have cook come on sordell was injured couldn't play on

Who should have come on then

Church, Cook is too weak and not good enough at this level for me.
  • Only listened on the radio but it sounded like an awful ref who missed two pens for either side and gave a soft one away, but it sounded like we deserved a point. CP said he wanted points from all the Xmas fixtures and he got them, with some winnable games coming up as well in Barnsley, Boro, Bournemouth and Doncaster we really need a takeover to go through so we can get some extra quality in.

Sordell getting injured and Stewart loan ending leaves us very light in attacking options
