I really hope you're wrong, probably the last person I would want to win out of the last eight.
Any reason why
His cue action for one and his personality.
I'd like to see Ding win it, and it's probably his best chance.
I always used to think he came across and arrogant and to much like Ronnie until I met him.
A few years ago at Ally Pally I went to the toilet and got back through the door but wasnt allowed in my seat as the frame had started.
So had to watch a frame on a tv down the side of the stage, Mark Allen walked past me to go to practice table, he stopped said Hello then watched the frame on the screen with me talking me through shots, it was such a surrreal experience and something not many other players would do, he has been my 2nd favourite player since that day

That must have been so bizarre - nice one mate.

Fair enough, I am only going on how he comes across on TV, I haven't met him. I think he has flown under the radar a bit in this tournament but can certainly win it.
Ding should've been well on the way to winning the fourth frame. Played an absolutely inexplicable shot to try and hold for black.
Shame i was going to go for hawkins but as Ding made light work of round before was swayed to go for him, still tough one to call. I wont be watching much this week unfortunately
So far so good , what do people think about doubling scores for next rounds eg. 2 points for win Semi and 4 for final? make it interesting still.
Sounds like a plan.
16-17 results is good picking, anyone replicated their picks at the bookies, if so well done!
@Sir_Clive unfortunately not, i did one first round think Murphy was only one who let me down. I feel on paper its been one of the hardest to predict each stage, very surprised got 7/8 the round just gone and equally found it hard to call the quarters.
I completely forgot about the predictions. I'll get back into it from the semis onward. For what it's worth, I'd have gone Higgins, Carter, Allen, Ding.
