apparently Hendry missed out on this Welsh open due to a glitch on the online application form. seems a bit unlikely but anyway he's been meaning to come back for months now so its good that he has actually made it. As its best of 7 I'll be surprised he will go all the way through cos i would believe he must be a bit rusty.
Grudge day today: O'Sullivan vs Captain Carter Murphy v Maguire
I haven't been watching but i will be today!
Re: Williams break, i am just guessing but assuming he is rolling up against the pack, i think Ronnie mentioned last year and other top players that its become such a disadvantage they need to find ways to break different or someone will start rolling up. It is a bit odd, considering all these years players might have got better due to alot of tournaments but still doesn't make sense why this is now only a problem, are the cloths that unpredictable, is it too fast that they cant to the old break? i need to look into it more but be funny if someone went the other way and Quintan Hann's old break is back eg. smash the balls and hope for a ball. It would be good entertainment although stupid lol

yeah, just rolling up to bottom of the pack and trying to make the opponent open the pack up first.

I dont like it but i dont forsee them making a rule unless more players do it. You dont really gain an advantage either. In pool they added rules to stop people tap breaking, or even potting one ball but keeping tight, so could happen but less likely.
enjoyed the match between Williams and Ford yesterday evening. Some decent long pots from Ford.
Ford was on the cusp of a great comeback and victory only for a really poor positioning shot meant that Williams became winner. Shame. Think Fords outlook would of brightened up had he done it.

He is playing off top cushion with a bit of side dead weight. For a couple of years now they often leave a long red from the break and the likes of Trump are dishing up. Murphy has tried hitting the pack thin but has missed completely a couple of times. It is a negative break. If the traditional break off has become too risky I don't know why they don't just play it thin with no side.
Always felt Williams was gonna lose after wining that first frame. Playing a reckless shot which led to Ronnie getting on the table and to help get his eye in with a few pots. Never looked like losing another frame (though there was few awkward moments mainly because of where the balls ended up)
also liked how he counted Williams break offs. Getting him to play a more positive shot to get the frame going. which gave Ronnie the advantage.
yeah i also think that last shot from Ronnie was down to a bit of guilt. seemed generally pleased to lose to Brown. Even said that he himself was playing great which is unlike Ronnie to say when he loses as he is usually so critical of his performance. Apart from a few nervy shots and some errors both players played well.
Great final. Incredible to think that Brown has only recently got back onto the tour at the age of 33, and 5 years ago was working in a petrol station.
I’m only just getting into snooker for the first time over the past few months, but am absolutely loving it
Just incredible result by Jordan Brown, showed no signs of nerves in his first final against the GOAT. Well played that man, really impressed, had a tough run and managed to win his debut ranking final. Takes hat off..
I see Trump is already out of the players, i didn't watch it but maybe it was due after dominating for the last 6 months.

bet the players are pleased to get away from Milton Keynes.
