It's not me fella. Seems to be the thing these days to pick up on anything. I was just highlighting. I contribute more to the cricket threads on here than anyone. That is in quality not quantity by the way.

Where is everyone? Got up hoping to read about the match and nothing!
Anyway, the Aussies were in a mini crisis at 64-4 and have now "progressed" to 176-7 (Stokes three wickets, Broad three and Bresnan one) off 43 overs with numbers 8 & 9 at the crease.
Why would the score flatter us, we have played much better in the last three games. The New Zealander Stokes has done well all tour. I will let him off his failure with the bat today.

It flatters us because 1) Cook is not a very good captain and 2) Oz have taken their foot off the pedal and have 'rested' several of their better players once going 3 up. However, you could argue that England could/should have won the 2nd ODI if we had a 'gun' bowler to remove the last wicket.
To me, it seems that if we were to replace Cook,Bopara and Bresnan with... Hales (after all, he is the No 1 20/20 batsman at the moment !), KP and Overton then we have the semblance of a reasonable ODI team. How the hell Bopara keeps getting in the team no-one knows (well, i think most people DO know, its simply because he is Cook's 'mate')
This series... Bopara.batting.. 5 innings with average of 16 currently got 2 runs from 19 balls. Bowling...5 games, only bowled 25 overs 3 wickets at 4.5.
So, doesnt even get bowled his full allocation in any game.

Think we have a chance in this game
We should make it 3-2 now but that score will flatter us.
Anyway, 72-2 off 18 overs. Hardly inspiring stuff on what is a poor ODI pitch.

He's just a bit of a 'dobber' just like Bresnan.

That is a good ODI team, not full of bottlers and pedestrians like Bopara and Cook and Trott.
Aus 217-9 (50)
England 175-6 (43).
England need 43 off 42.
Bopara 19* (34)
Bresnan 12* (10).
23/24.
14/18.
