We will win this, Charlton are shit.
Generally speaking we are looking much better this season and much more consistent. It shouldn't be ignored that we beat Watford quite comfortably and would have almost certainly got a positive result were it 11 on 11 at Wigan.
Thankyou powelly and the boys really needed a pickme up this weekend. Going to enjoy my sat night now cant wait for sunday now many gave them no hope today and comming home with all 3 points is epic lads. Onwards and upwards boys!!
"For all the doom and gloom that will descend - I hope some people give Charlton some credit - defensively they were immense today. Their right back had a superb game against King - and their centre halves won virtually every ball in the air. Without a shadow of a doubt - they took time wasting and breaking up play to new heights - but that is the referee's fault."
Just got back from the game and got changed (the downpour at full time was biblical and there was flooding in and around the ground). I was surprised at how well we started out today - some skillful, positive football that gave us a deserved lead. It was always going to be a backs to the wall performance after that, but the spirit of the team was immense and they gave their all.
A proper team performance with every one doing their bit. I dragged two neutrals along and the standout player for them was.....Wilson. I agree. Him and the other defenders coped very well with some very tricky players and they deserve a lot of credit. It was also great to see Yann and JJ back as well. Hopefully this will shut up the Powell haters for a while - they must be disappointed tonight; there are a lot of positives that can be taken from this game.
...and whoever thought of the chant 'is this a fire drill?' to the exiting Rovers fans - hilarious!
100 % away record still intact. Great goal from Church. Defence today won the game. All 4 deserve credit for keeping Rovers to very few chances and when they got one Hamer made 2 great saves.
Why is it necessary to dig out other fans after a result and why does questioning CP's tactics make fans haters? Why can't we just enjoy the performance of the team and the result?
Well done CP and the team and fans that went up there.
wow that was some rearguard defence after a well executed goal that would grace the Premiership. no MoM for me as it was a truly team effort with everyone playing their part, a few stand outs though: Hamer - looked far more confident Wood/Morri - great defensive partnership, hope Wood is ok Cousins - you would never think he wad so young Stephens - sublime pass for the goal Church - well taken goal, kept chasing Yann - he makes a difference with his Gallic swagger PC - got it right
well done to all the team and us lot who tried to make some noise to help through the last 20 minutes
Great result, Sounded like a good solid performance, well played the boys. Well done to Powell for making positive subs early enough when needed in the game.
Clean sheets are what will keep us up as there clearly are not many goals in this side - and the most encouraging thing today was defending a lead for 83 mins (and in reality for more than 90 with the excessive extra time). Doesn't matter if it required good fortune and was a desperate rearguard action. For a team so low on confidence, that's a major achievement - especially away from home.
Looking forward to seeing DS 's ball for the goal on tv later tonight. The guy has more quality than anyone else in the side when he's at his best. Which I guess is why he frustrates when he doesn't turn it on...

Because there are deluded idiots pouring bile and hatred on a decent man in an almost impossible position trying to do his best with very limited resources and a team whose morale has been affected by uncertainty and broken promises from owners who want out and only care about making a profit from the club. Just keeping this ship from sinking is an achievement in itself. Personally, I'm sick of the haters, and if they succeed in driving him out, then we really will be doomed because no one decent and with half a brain would want to take his place under current circumstances.
Great to get three points, can't wait for reports from those there
I had it when we was 7/1 just for the win. Remember trying to explain to a local Ladbrokes where i put the bet on, as the bookmakers in the ground wasn't recognizable on their system.

Results have improved since the introduction of Cousins & Wood.
Coincidence ?
Not in my book. They both look better than alternative options.

Fair play all hundred of them
It assumes that those who own the club are interested in what the supporters think.
Is there any evidence that they could give a fig?
