Chelmsford v Dartford is too close to call. Drew at Chelmsford in the league, Chelmsford won the league game at Dartford, Dartford won in the FA cup at Chelmsford and Chelmsford won in the FA trophy at Dartford. All wins by 1 goal.... And now they're playing another two games!
In regards to Dicko at Chelmsford he's been doing well. He's got something like 7 in 14 but 4 of those came against Eastbourne. He did score the only goal of the game to win Chelmsford the Essex cup.
Strangely, he's being used as a starter to wear down the defenders before Shaun Jeffers comes on for the last 20. Been working really well. Like something out of the Eddie Jones "there are no substitutes, just starters and finishers" playbook.
Chelmsford have a very good attack with Jeffers, Dickson, Willmott and Theophonous. They are very much a team that plays it long and works hard to take the second ball. You win the second ball and stop the crosses coming in you give yourself a very good chance of winning the game.
If Dartford still have players from their last promotion season then that experience will come in handy. If not then I fancy Chelmsford to bully them over two legs.
For those saying any potential play off final should be at a neutral venue, well the National League planned to do this; holding both the North and South Finals on the same day.
The venue they chose..............Milton Keynes - after the uproar from many clubs, including some affected by the Franchise move and FC United of Manchester they defaulted back to the time honoured system.
There is every chance it wont be a Fleet Dirtford final. Maidenhead could cock it up (unlikely i'll grant you, but we live in hope) - If positions stay the same Chelmsford might beat the Princes park lot and Fleet (Maidenhead) wont know who they are playing until Poole and Darlington have had decisions on their appeals as they are excluded due to ground regs (they have less than 500 seats under cover).
So Fleet (or Maidenhead) could play Hampton who are currently 7th as Hungerford (6th) are also excluded as they don't have enough seats under cover.
And we all complain about the incompetence of the Football league! The National League is way up there.
So the way to work it out is whichever team left out of the 4 teams in the palyoffs was highest at the end of the season has home advantage, but it wont be a home match.

I think whoever wins this goes up.
Very good - Chelmsford remind me of the Wimbledon 'crazy gang' of the late 80's - horrible to watch and play
All the chaps I watch with agree we would rather play Ebbsfleet than Chelmsford in the playoffs - FA Cup match aside, Chelmsford did a job on Darts in the other matches
You are so so wrong - I've had clients there for the last 10 years - been there many times - plus my wife used to work for John Lewis, so we stayed many times at their place at Odney - very pleasant
Tell me - Carry On films and Maidenhead, what's the connection ?

Team of Eric Youngs, Vinnie Jones etc etc
You sound like a 5 year old - and a thick one at that
So Gravesend is utopia is it ? Kings Farm estate, Northfleet in its entirety? A town is a town dick head
If course you first mentioned 'shit holes'
Anyway, after lots of posts on this thread today about football, what made you crawl out from under your shit plastered stone at this point ?
I'll ready myself for a mind blowing response (but won't hold my breath)
Amazingly its in .......... Gravesend !!!
Next ?
Flashers - since Top Gear knocked down the sh*t parts of Kings Farm and the Council rebuilt their it's not as bad as it used to be.
Pigs - you won't beat Maidenhead in the play off final
Teresa May is your MP !!!
Hurley is lovely, as is Bisham and Holyport and Sonning and lots of other places around Maidenhead - I have clients there and know it well
BUT it also has areas just like the grim areas you get in Dartford, Gravesend, Bromley, Bexleyheath
Bloody hell - you can't even spell a village near you correctly
Tell me - Carry On films and Maidenhead, what's the connection ?
No sneaking on Google now Chipster !!!
