  • Hartley have ex pompey and southampton trainees as there two strikers, One is Ross Cook who has had a few trials with Bristol Rovers this season.

He is a prolific scorer, however he is always getting sent off, currently serving an 11 game ban, 8 of them as he has been sent off about 4 times this season (and could have been more as the ooposition are always winding him up) and the club imposed a three game ban on top of that.

    Decided to google him.

Read point 2 from a disciplinary hearing last season.

  • Crikey...got away with that.

I sat next to him in a game last season and he he was injured with a broken hand caused by a punch into a door, there was an altercation on the pitch between two players and he just got up and ran the width of the pitch to get involved.
  • So a point for Maidenhead against Ebbsfleet on Saturday will guarantee promotion and the title. I wonder if Theresa May will be there?

Ebbsfleet will rack up an impressive points total for a team likely to come second. Currently on 90, when the team leading National North (Fylde) only have 82!
  • Alan Devonshire is the Maidenhead utd manager, one recalls him slim and fairly tall with a stack of flair, hes actually quite short and looks like an old man in a flat cap, but he always talks to you

Used to manage Hampton and Richmond years ago.
    You or Alan Devonshire?

  • I'm off to see Whitehawk play Poole Town this Saturday in the Conference South. It's an important game for Whitehawk who have just escaped from the bottom 3 recently. Whitehawk won't want to go into the last game at Gosport Borough needing a result as they are also desperate for points. It's a nice ground with the South Downs running down the side of the pitch.

I know too much about football to lower myself to Ryman standards.

Would be great if he just mouthed "sheepshagger" at him as he walked out at the end of the hearing.
  • It's Cray Valley Paper Mills v Dulwich Hamlet in the London Senior Cup tonight - Cray Valley are going great guns in their league and share with Greenwich Borough in Eltham. Eight quid in, a fiver concessions.

is that Badgers on Middle Park?

Has formed Pro FC Trials with former manager Martin Allen.

Cray valley won 3-2 after being 0-2 down, will play Met Police in the final at Dulwich Hamlet FC.
  • Congratulatons to Lincoln City. Back in the football league.
  • Just over a year ago, I saw them lose to Whitehawk in the FA Cup. They looked a poor side and not together as a team. How things change.
  • Gravesend one down
  • Whitehawk 1 Poole 0 is my entertainment today. Big game for Whitehawk who have Hogan Ephraim on the bench

They need something out of this unless they're resigned to the play-offs.
  • Gravesend 2-1 up
  • Welling 1 down
  • Hamlet 2-0 up, looks dead cert for home advantage for play off semi against Leiston on Thursday

So.....the fat lady isn't singing yet

First home defeat for Maidenhead this season - impressive

However, Maidenhead final match is away at the already doomed Margate - will require a very very shock result to deny them

Exciting end to the league campaign next week possibly
  • Where's Chippy when you need him?

No chippy please - in fact I promise not to reply / respond to him ever again ( I hope)

Must say - when I saw that they were one up, I thought it would be either that or a draw

Darts beat a very poor Bishop Stort side today - but at the end of the day we are fighting with Chelmsford for 3/4 place

Not being parochial, but Maidenhead have to really fuck up next week to blow this

Hoping for a Darts vs Fleet final - and then ....... who knows - 50/50 I call it
  • As I said earlier. Seen both and still think Dartford the better of the two.

If you mean Darts vs Fleet, then Darts at home vs them (which can't happen) I agree - Darts away at Stonebridge, different call

If it happens though - great day for pints ;-)
