  • Absolutely not, we have a really strong, simple logo that's timeless.
  • I wouldn't have commented at all about the original thread tbh until he defended/advocated Palace fans calling us clowns.
Gives it away a bit really.
  • I know it's a wind up but anyway I hope this doesn't happen anytime soon. We have one of the best badges around and I've read a few forums of other clubs over the years that have said the same when discussing logos
  • Badge if Zabeel deal had gone thruimage

Badge we should have but with Addicks, not valiants

The badge we had for a very short time in 1964image
  • When the Red, Red, Red Robins

  • The first badge we ever had from the 1920simage
  • i like that shamrock
  • His design makes it look like a church candle.

I'd like that... so would all the atheists on here!

    Don't you start : - )

I told you before, it's a club (hearts, spades, diamonds, clubs)

  • Its a shamrock!

    It's a Club.

If it was what you say than it would read

    "Charlton Athletic Football Shamrock" : - )

  • I like the 3 lickle birdies .. we could adopt the Bob Marley song instead of the Red Red Robin
  • Haha, sounds alright to me.

  • I really like it...maybe I'm too open minded.

Get over yourself - it's about taste, not open or closed mindedness. You like it, a lot of others don't.
Sorry if I upset you, but I thought it was a fun thread :-)

Maybe we can use it on a limited edition Easter shirt.

Maybe just on the Green and white hooped away shirt we're getting next season.
  • I was thinking more for St Patricks day.

  • Apple's first logo looks like something from the mid-19th century. Would anyone have bought a machine with this on? Stuff has to change sometimes.
But it's interesting that someone said that supporters of other clubs are complimentary about our badge as it's just too easy to feel unwarranted affection for something that you are so close to on a daily basis.

  • TOO MUCH!!!

curb_it and henry... stop now, thank you.
  • Too many people wanting to be Gok Wan these days. Leave the badge alone.
  • I doubt we'll change the badge anyway, as it's under copyright (TM) and the usual reason for a new badge is because the old badge wasn't copyrighted and hence could be used by anyone selling 'rival' merchandise.

It's unlikely that a new badge would increase merchandise sales enough to cover the cost anyway...

    What?

Well if the poster can be silly so can we!

If you look closely at our badge in recent times, you will notice that the TM is now missing. Right now it's a merchandise free for all!
  • Changing a logo can cost an organisation well into six figures by the time you have got the consultants in, worked out the pantone colours, held the focus groups - this is a good one going here - and then built and changed every single sign around the place, chucked out all the obsolete letter-headed paper, shirts, tracksuits etc. I would rather see the money going into strengthening a good squad and leaving a strong logo alone.
  • Yes. I like the idea of having just the sword.
  • no wounder CPFC call us clowns, their's plenty on here!!!sooooooo funny

Shouldn't you be ironing your black tshirt and getting the face paint ready for your 'local derby' tonight?
He is Charlton. I've seen him on the fb page trying to start a new ultra group based on the portland timbers

Not sure a sword is appropriate for a family club, how about one of these?
