From an aesthetics point of view, I like the way you have counterbalanced the windscreen surround in the bottom right with a finger in the top left. It frames the pub nicely.
Edit - thought I was on the "photos you have taken" thread.
"The new little angry female workers cause problems left right and centre, ruined the place & atmosphere here. Never had any problems with the old owners for many years but since the new owners one wide little angry woman in particular loves marching around the place pointing in peoples faces hurling straight insults at the people who have been spending money at the Charlton inn for years. Also beware of a giant intimidating man lady who lurks around ready to go lady man on anyone having a bit of fun. GO TO THE VIC! You don’t want to experience these angry little munchkins first hand"
though there are a couple more recent reviews saying how good the karaoke is...
Demographics are going to see pubs either dramatically change even more than what they have. Ive been using my local snooker and pool club a fair bit recently in Chatham and whilst they aren't and never have been a haven for an amazing and interesting pint the bloke I know who has been running it the last few years told me earlier hardly any of the youngsters who come in drink alcohol but tear through the energy drinks and he has bought an espresso machine to satisfy that particular need too. For what its worth the place was packed tonight, no league games or tournament games going on both snooker tables were full every single pool table of which I think there are 12 was in constant use and all three dart boards. When I started going in there as a kid it was a dingy place that would have hardly anyone in there, nowadays it has a really strong membership an atmosphere that isn't even close to what it used to be but still authentic if that makes sense.
And crucially, although its had a lick of paint and some furnishings changed and moved it still smells like the old snooker club and its a delight, that old pub smell. Not all places like this have survived and I think because of pubs getting rid of their pool tables or not looking after them, letting people put drinks on them or sit on them these places have an opportunity to flourish
We're currently doing an air bnb in Brazil. It turns out we're two minutes from a favela, but two minutes from okay. This bar I'm aware you have to be aware, but 'my people'. Very cheap

I guess the pub frontage doesn't do the toilets justice.

Don't knock it, they have a pool table! Mrs Elfs has told me to f*** off here and prayed I come back

Wednesday nights are quiet over here!
Not many tables, but they still number them 😂
It works for me, I can still think I'm in a Wetherspoons!

£5 a pint 12 months ago was okay, nowadays £6 is acceptable. Where will it all end?
Yep, where do you draw the line, was in our local spoons the other day pint and a glass of house white for £5, ale was in good nick and wife happy enough with the wine, bar/pub just up the road (nothing special) £10.50 for similar drinks.
That’s terrible news. Hardy’s is one of our pre-match venues and, following the closure of the adjoining restaurant, they’re happy for you to bring food in. There’s an excellent Japanese fusion restaurant two doors down, which is incredibly good value - as is the pub.

It is but has been closed for years.
Can't remember the last time I bought a pint for under a fiver.
I imagine The George will be nearer £6 nowadays. Always liked that boozer and would often pop in on the way home from The Valley.
