  • How many crosses does Solly need to let happen before he gets marked on performance rather than reputation?

I have to say, I scored him 5.5, much lower than most others on here. I thought he had a poor game, to be honest. He looked uncomfortable at left back, allowed a number of crosses and looked lost as he moved forward. Yes, he did play out of position, but others have played out of position and been marked on their performance. I might concede that his low mark from me might be biased by the fact that I was in the West Stand close to where he was defending second half, but I thought he had a poor game, particularly by his standards.

Made a great interception, preventing a square ball to a free player. Was playing against a decent player and out of position - he did fine. Do prefer him playing at RB though but no point being ultra harsh and taking things into full consideration. Think Solly and WIlson will really work well together - Is Wiggins back soon?

Hamer - 8 - Nothing he could do with both goals. Fantastic save in the first half and handling was superb
Wilson - 8.5 - Hadn't played in over a month and still managed to run the length of the pitch in injury time. Great to have back
Morrison - 6 - Not his best day but he'll come back better
Dervite - 8 - Backed up his performance last week with another solid game. Will Cort get back in?
Solly - 7 - Usual solid performance even when out of natural position
Pritchard - 6.5 - Gave the ball away numerous times but was so happy to see him get his goal
Stephens - 9 - MOTM - That's the Dale I want to see. Fantastic display of passing and looked good going forward. Seems to benefit from playing in a 4-5-1
Frimpong - 7.5 - Best game so far. Showed quality on the ball throughout
Jackson - 6 - Hassled and harried. Put a couple of decent crosses in first half. Faded badly when he went into centre
Haynes - 6 - Had to do a different job and did it well. Look forward to having him back up top though
Hulse - 8 - Led the line brilliantly. Feels like one of us and not a loan player. Thought he deserved a goal for his hard work

I may have been harsh by 0.5, but he did look like a right back playing at left back to me. I think all things considered he did OKish - as you say, he had a good player to mark as well. I think it bodes well when Wiggins is back - Solly and Wilson on the right side will be a good combination.
