Nobody can accuse this lot of bottling it and everyone battled for the point that the lack of width and mobility in attack surely made our most likely achievement.
He's never been about springing in behind but I thought Hulse worked v hard and troubled them more than admittedly deeper lying Yann.
Oh, and I don't consider having glass bottles hurled at me to be "banter"
Hamer did well enough with what he was asked to do (which, for all their pressure, was not a lot).
Solly met his match in Taylor, but held his own and was his typical self. Cort was dominant, Dervite equally so and did a great job filling in for Morrison.
Pritchard was tenacious and didn't give anything away, great player to have in the squad as he once again proved. Stephens did a decent job in the middle but played second fiddle to Jackson who put in a captain's performance in his 100th appearance.
Hulse and Kermorgant worked their nuts off for the cause and I thought Hulse was a lot beter than people gave him credit. Won a good number of headers and held up the ball as he was asked.
I thought the subs were well timed and we had two or three opportunities where we could've broken at pace but unfortunately it wasn't to be against a team on form and at home. We came with a gameplan, not to concede and then nick a winner and it so nearly came off, for a second away game in a row.
Seaborne and Kerkar are a dreadful combination with which we can't go on. Kenny Jackett brought on N'Guessan for Feeney specifically so Taylor could switch flanks and have a go at them. For 20 solid minutes, Solly could've taken out a deck chair, they lacked imagination as they tried to pour down our left hand side. Saying that, we can consider ourselves lucky that they didn't carve out something more meaningful and I'll be grateful when Wiggins is back and we can bring in a proper left-mid (Ephraim?).
There are no Powell haters on here Henry - 100% Support .....:-).
Great point.
Couldn't go. My Millwall mate called me this morning to wind me up. Said he was going text me when Millwall score. Just sent him one asking why no text?
Defence won the point for us but long ball was the wrong tactic giving Millwall too many opportunities to come at us. Hulse and Yann shouldn't being playing up front together. JJ had a good game in a poor mid-field performance. Happy with the result; hope it's put the team in the right frame of mind to take on The Seagulls.
Just saw this on ebay. Looks like it's true what they say. If you put an infinite number of chimps in a room with scissors and glue, one of them will eventually come up with their own cut and paste Millwall programme.
Posting without reading - just home, Solly, Dervite & Cort good for us, Millwall, very good team - we did well to grind out a draw. Needed Frimpong and Haynes - where were they ?
Not got a clue what was going on in our lower tier at full time - some Basingstoke CAFC at Waterloo said was same as them - hope not, that Millwall lot looked pathetic.
On way out passed within about 3 foot of a fat old git about my age offering everyone out (no idea why he didn't just lamp me, obvious I'd just come out the away end) - Charlton geezer said "p**s off, you silly old c, shoild be home playing bingo" - made me laugh and sad - silly old sod
Best post of the evening for me, Callum. Pretty much how I saw things on the pitch.
Back 4 sound as usual & worked hard for the clean sheet. Hulse & Yann too similar for my liking and not given great service today . Not sure about the midfield - thought Kerkar had a poor game and most around me wanted him subbed halfway into the 2nd half.
As others have stated, Haynesy would have made SUCH a difference but can't blame SCP for giving him another week on the Training Ground to get fitter. Not sure whether Frimpong would have made a huge difference today - I wasn't overly impressed last Tuesday & do wonder whether he is a "manager's signing", albeit a loan one at present.
Very good point though considering our sick list and Millwall's current form. Can't wait for the Seasiders to wade into town next Saturday following their 3 - 0 thumping at the Supermarket. And for our walking wounded to regain full fitness. Should be an outfit to be reckoned with even if SCP has no money to spend in the January sales.
From the millwall stand. Pat on the back for the Charlton singers: Valley Floyd Road sounded great, plus the Solly song etc. Scrappy even game until the last 20 minutes when Millwall came on strong. Delighted with Dervite who I thought would be our weak link and Cort was terrific. Funny to see thier winger getting so uptight with Solly after his crunching tackle. Hamer did well to tip over a pile driver and handled well. For about 5 minutes we started to pass the ball around instead of playing hoof ball but it didn't last long. Long ball to Kerm didn't really work today. I don't think Forde had one shot to save. Pity we didn't have Wiggins, Wilson and Haynes in the team to put a bit of zip and pace into our play. Anyway, we should be pleased with the point. The red flare on the pitch was quite funny and annoyed the home crowd. My Millwall pal said he hadn't seen that done before. Hope evryone got home okay.
So many times we have been down there in the past and the players have bottled it. Cannot accuse the majority of that today so for me I'm happy tonight.
How any Charlton fan can go down there and reckon Palace are our rivals must be seriously gone in the head
took my 9 yr old son to his first proper Derby (he was at the televised home game v Palace earlier this season & was also at the Fulham cup game last January) and had been told that it might be a tad "lively"
Main thing he said after the game was that it was "loud" and enjoyed the atmosphere............didn't think much of the game but could see why we don't like Millwall.
If we can go there and carry on unbeaten away then we can go anywhere Let's see if we can improve at home with all the players coming back Thought we played well and surprised we weren't set up as 4-5-1 with Frimpong on there at some point.
But I'm not going to dig any one player out as it was a great team effort and sets us up to stay on course for next week. Solly, Pritchard and Hamer were stars as usual and Cort let nothing past. Fantastic atmosphere and wish it was like that every week, preferably without the bottles being luzzed over the police line as we took the scenic route through Bermondsey
On course for what? Well let's see what happens to the gap between us and 6th place ... maybe we go level with Brighton at 5pm next Saturday

Fair play G. Would not have taken my 8 y old today. Great s london banter today. V F R.
Great to see our defence really holding up... It's the key to this division and the model for success... I'm so excited for the rest of season ... We seem to be very solid with some excellent players to come back from injury... Our best 11 is top ten championship IMHO ... Such a difference from our last visit ... I'm so impressed with Powell... We really aren't that far away I found ask me ... I know we are on a good run and it could all fall apart but I havnt been this positive about Charlton in years... Solid championship outfit... Investors sniffing around ... Solid crowds... Attracting the odd prem player or loan ...
A couple more decent results and I will be looking firmly upwards...
Chuff game , the highlight was Danny Green not falling for the millwall twat trying to be funny when he had the ball and not giving it back to him when it was our throw on, Greenie just waited and waited eventually the chump lobbed it back and Greenie big nosed him off, banter ...... I was in a mates box in the Millwall end both sets of fans pretty quiet imo until the end when the flare got lobbed on the pitch and Charlton fans found a bit of personality and got up the scums nose . They had the better of possession and didn't take advantage of our weaker left side , Dervite and Cort stood firm against the millwall threat and they had two half chances stretching at the far post both times that they failed to direct with any real threat.
0% top two ...10% play offs.... 40% 7th-12th..... 50% 13th-21st .... 0% relegation (yippee but boooo prolly got to play them mugs again)
The Green incident just shows how thick some of them are-they were the team with the most possession and looking most likely to win yet no one got on that fans back when he held the ball and probably wasted 30 seconds.
A friend of mine, a Millwall's fan who went to the game, sentenced: 1) Charlton's midfield poor, and without a decent winger/crosser of the ball 2) he have never seen before this game Shittu's beaten so many times in the air by an opponent (Hulse) 3) Solly is Premier League material. Comments ? Cheers from Italy !

Frimpong has now removed his tweet.

Onto the next one, bring on Brighton. COYR.

Sounds like a result to me.
Very happy with that. Feels like a victory.
It makes me weep when I remember how piss weak Pardew made us defensively, Matty Holland at centre-half FFS.
Powell knows that if you don't concede then you're halfway to winning.

Onwards & upwards !
Immense
That tackle by solly resulted in some poor sod in the stand to the left of us get a proper hiding it looked
But it set the tone for our defence and showed that the boy has not only skill in abundance but is as tough as they come
Thought him and green handled the gestures at the end immensly well
Pat on the back for the Charlton singers: Valley Floyd Road sounded great, plus the Solly song etc.

Thought the back four were magnificent and Johnny Jackson did pretty well in the middle.
A well earned draw.
