  • Are flares still in fashion in Bristol then ?
  • For the last time in this thread today

The further you took our ground away
    The stronger we become
You'll find us by the Thames Barrier
    The Valley is our home

    You can't deny me
You could not take our home away
    We're Charlton and theres..

    Somethin Inside so Strong
I know that we will make it
    When things are going wrong
You thought that our club was gone
oh no there's something inside so strong

    It works 2 wins

    Ooh, you little fibber !
    ;-)

  • Really what I expected, a 2-0. The win over Cardiff was tremendously important giving the team belief that they can beat anybody. Haynes ? .. well worth the wait, Fuller ? .. fit again, but will he displace Hulse, or is Hulse going home ? .. the defence ? .. as good as or better than ever.
  • Can someone post a link to the goals if possible. Great to have two back to back wins. Only 8 goals conceded in 3 games now rather than 2 ;-)

    Clean sheet. COYR

    How was Seaborne?
  • We are one of a block of 11 clubs, with only 3 points separating them.

Any team that shows a little consistancy, is going to leap frog into the play off places.

We need to make sure it us.

  • seen the goals on Sky..........Morrison took his like a seasoned striker - perhaps he can show BWP how to do it !!

7 points from the bottom 3 and 7 points from 6th spot - mid table then, which after last Sat was far beyond my dreams. Well done CP & the boys and another helping of humble pie for me tonight..........more will be welcome next week.
  • #CAFC, 57% possession, 13 shots to city's 10, 6 on target to their 3.

Will be easier to leap frog when Yann and Ceddy are fit ;0)

  • Flares ? I had them when I was a lad !
Or do u mean like the ones the palarse ultras have?
    Great result for the boys
Well done al those that went
    Missed a good away day
Let's keep it up you reds

  • Delighted with the win and especially with the clean sheet. Well done lads and all those who went down to Bristol to support them.
  • Jingle Bells

And we have Fuller back plus kermo, Wiggins, Ceddy and Wilson all due to return. Plus Eggy.

Real competition for places and strength in depth but the biggest plus factor is the confidence that seems to be creeping back on the pitch and in the stands.

    Powell 100% Support
  • Good solid win. Everyone put in a shift and played well. Stephens jj and Cort were the stand outs for me.

Great support from us and to all those concerned about Powell he was fist pumping and patting the badge at the end and he loved it
  • Just got back from the game (Bristol Uni student) - we deserved that, definitely. Quality team performance - was very, very hard to pick a man of the match but personally, Morrison shaded it. Jackson started to lead by example at the end; Solly was solid as usual; Hamer was untroubled; Cort was similar to Morro; Seaborne was alright - we didn't concede, after all; Pritchard worked really hard and is growing into it; Stephens was passing well and working hard; Kerkar was decent but tired a little at the end; Hulse worked well in build-up play; Haynes was quick and skilful enough, and deserved a goal.

Overall though - it was the team spirit that shone through, especially shown in the celebrations: Haynes went straight to SCP; Morrison scored in front of us and nine players (bar Solly and Hamer who were in the other half) came over as well. The playing staff really care, I'd like to think. Bristol City, on the other hand - real doom and gloom atmosphere round there. They were poor, not for lack of trying. But a good win. A very good win.
  • Great win great atmosphere. Thought seaborne played well. Roll on another win.
  • On the up,two games six points, great stuff.
  • City were the worst I've seen but that was a proper, comfortable, professional performance. Play like that every other game up til Christmas and we'll easily be safe.
  • Great result, 2 wins on the bounce and looking at the fixture list we dont have a tough game until Leicester in February! Roll on the Prem ;-)

There are no such things as tough or easy games in this league , it could go anyway on the day

  • just saw the goals on Sky, Morro an amazing goal for a central defender with his feet.

  • we just might have our charlton back.a very good solid performance.i thought seaborne was average but the two players that really stood out today was haynes and pricthard they played really well as did the whole team.i really think when we get fuller properly fit and players back from injuries we will as charlton fans have got nothing to worry about.the support today was amazing just like the good old days and the flare thing just took the pxxs but funny after the worzels bought flares to the valley.there was one good thing about today playing at aston gate i got home from a football match with in the hour.atb tony

Tremendous noisy support today, regularly out singing the home fans, praised by Chris Powell in his post match press conference.

Fantastic day out for all concerned :-)

Recorded this http://audioboo.fm/boos/1052914-charlton-fans-at-bristol. During one of the quieter periods.
  • Great win . And the manner in which we won is massively encouraging ,creating lots of chances ,keeping a clean sheet etc. Big players returning too!! EIEIEIO
  • Dissappointing that we've only scored 7 goals in our last 2 games.

Agreed. Sort it out Powell or you'll soon see a drop to 99.9% ;-)

Well done on the post. The first half finish by Haynes was excellent. The second half goal by Morrisson was very good after some comedy defending. Stephens looks dangerous when he gets into more advanced positions. I would like to see Pritchard score after all the effort he puts in, in midfield. Solid defending for the Bristol City scramble near the end.

    Another great 3 points.

BTW, for those a bit technically challenged (like me for a couple of minutes) the clip works but you need to press the computer button as opposed to the mobile.
  • wtf! What a brilliant goal by morrison!

    powelly put him up front!!

A real big pyschological win on the back of the, shakey ending, win against Cardiff and it will give us a good lift as we approach one of the 2 fixtures that "really" matter this season, on Dec 1st....
Didn't see this result or the goalscoring form of Mr Haynes coming so I'll help Golfie with some of the humble pie
Nice to hear our support with "flares" and all ...getting a bit of a personality, even if we needed palace ultras to help show us the way !
    1% chance of top 6 ! ...... 14% 7th-12th ..... 70% 13th-21st ....
    15% the dreaded R

  • Gently moving up the league. By the New Year should be in a play-off position. "Something Inside So Strong" is starting to become the internets equivalent of "Love Is All Around Me
