I believe that he has a future at Charlton,I've always liked his attitude and he has the skills to be a decent Championship player, he just lacks confidence and never seems to get the chances given to others. A loan move will be good for him especially if he gets a run but I hope he comes back as he has much to offer
Fully disagree. He has had plenty of chances at CAFC over the years. And a lack of confidence is not an issue, look at the way he was moaning at ref's last term, not a sign of a player low on confidence!
I often feel that many CAFC fans take a shine to waggy more than other players because he is homegrown, and we all know that he is a decent bloke.
At the end of the day that does not win games. But Danny Green does...

Fully disagree. Danny was at best average last season, but has come on this season and played very well. Why you would not afford Waggy the same chance? especially as he was better than Green last season. Would only be fair to give him his chance when fully fit as well. That maybe why CP has loaned him out for such a short period. If we continue to play 5 in midfield, his pace, energy and eye for goal could come in very handy. I hope he scores a few and gives CP something to think about.
According to a source close to Scott, they seemed to be reluctant to give him the ball on Saturday, and spent most of their time hoofing the ball in the air.

Getting him used to our tactics once he comes back then
I am sure Waggy is a very likeable young man and yes he has scored goals in League 1 but and it's a big but this league we are in now is clearly better quality and I am not convinced that Waggy has enough in his game to make any impact. Somehow I think last season was his level.
11 goals in 42 starts at the age of 22 playing on the wing!! FFS give him a chance! Pace can count at this level and it's something we miss at the moment. We do play deeper than a lot of sides in this di
Yas give a fit Waggy a chance......after all lots were prepared to write Laurie Wilson off after one game, for gods sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
He has a chance with this loan spell. He will get games and I'm sure the club will be keeping a close eye on him. If he does well, Chrissy will be aware. Last week was his first game and it was a match Bournemouth seemingly dominated so maybe not the best game to jusge him on. He does have to put in some performances though if he wants to stake a claim to be in Chrissy's plans.
I think Wagstaff and Green link up play very different, Wagstaff is a winger who will cut inside and rather drill crosses in, his link up play with BWP last season looked good. Green will attack to the byline or he can hit a early cross to our target man (Kermorgant, Fuller, Hulse) whoever it may be. I think it comes down to the balance of the squad and Green is the better option.
Much as I would like to see another homegrown player come right to the fore I feel that Wagstaff is starting to run out of time. He will be 23 soon and has been in the first team squad for five years but he never really convinced me that he should be the automatic choice for the wide right slot. He fails too often with his crossing and for all his hard work rarely beats a defender all ends up. For all his inconsistency Green can sometimes become a dominant force in our attack in a way that Wagstaff has never really achieved.
I do wonder if Wagstaff is more suited to being a striker. He already has a reasonable goal scoring record, has pace and hits the ball hard. Either way he will need to improve and impress soon or the remander of his career will be in the lower divisions.
Simple piece of advice to him - get some decent boots with the right studs, stay on your feet, don't moan to refs and learn how to cross at the right moment.

Many seem to criticise his crossing but we had BWP upfront, and Yann coming from midfield (only JJ tended to get in box regularly, apart from Scott himself) so he wouldn't have had many targets when he breaks clear with pace. He preferred the low driven cross, and I haven't got a problem with that given how conservatively we attacked. Green often put his crosses in from outside the last third so were mainly wasted balls in.
Im sad to see scotty even go out on loan! Lovely lad very down to earth and Charlton through and though! I know that dont make him a championship player but how do we know he hasnt played league game this season yet!
I went to Brisbane Road last night and Scott played his part in a narrow win and he turned in a reasonable shift.
He was deployed as a central attacking midfielder/second striker rather than on the wing.It appears he has been signed to cover the injury of super Kevin Lisbie.
The big star last night was Orient's right winger Moses Odubajo who looked quite exciting when on the ball, but I guess like all wingers he drifted in and out of the game at times.

As someone said, the amount of goals he got from the wing last season was vital towards gaining promotion.
I don't know what it is with wingers. They're like marmite.

Might be a bit light weight but he has something about him
Would only be a bench player currently but I don't see a prob with that
We absolutely whoared the lad around to everyone and anyone per season and during the window
I would be pissed off too if I was Scott

Not saying he's going to be a saviour but Green needs competition and with Fuller out we need another attacking option
