One of my favourite players fur his hunger, comittment and heart. A number of other players could learn off him for that. Sadly I just don't think he has the natural talent for Championship (at this stage in his career at least). I wish him all the best and hope he proves me wrong.
As said above, only a month, will get fitness and game time so no down side.
Would have thought a 28 day loan with the prospect of match practice was good all round; no reason why he shouldn't do well and if he puts in the effort at Orient he could be back in contention for team selection with us. particularly if injuries continue to present selection challenges for SCP.
Might be a good thing but for Waggy it doesn't bode well for his career imho, although still youngish.
I may prefer Green and his crossing but I'd put Waggy above Pritch so am a bit disappointed by this, I think he can offer us something from the bench at least. I don't think our inconsistent team is picking itself at the moment.
I am not writing him off - just stating where he is now and what I think he needs to do. For me he has to find a role that suits him and improve a bit - I have never said that he can't do that. He has definite qualities.
Good move for him and the club but only from the point of view of the shop window.what you have got to ask is how many players who have been out on loan have come back and failed to force their way into first team reckoning /have just been sold sooner rather that later?strikes me that this is a loan move more like the one that Hayes made as opposed to the one that Mambo has just made.whatever Wagstaff does at Orient - and I think that he will do well there- will not get him in ahead of Green Wilson or Haynes unless all three lose form or fitness at the same time.
In SCP we trust Waggy's not a natural but you won't find anyone more committed to the cause hopefully this move will be Scott Parkeresque to Norwich and he comes back much improved cos he's not where we'd like him to be at for where we are now imo and by the looks of it SCP's as well Good luck Scott
Like him a lot, see him as a decent impact player, who will develop further. The season is long, 28 days and 4-5 games under his belt, no bad thing. Would not be surprised to see him knock in a couple. Best of luck to him!
130 games for Charlton and 20 goals - a very decent record for a young winger IMO.
But he doesn't swing in early crosses or have the strengths of a typical winger. Sorry not good enough and never will be.
he'll never be a typical winger no.
Neither is JJ though and up until recently it was a hanging offence to criticise him on these forums.
I'm not knocking him his energy and tenacity are superb and I feel our right side is stronger with him on it. Neither he or Jackson will ever be typical wingers but that's good, green is a more typical winger and he is fine for that.
I believe that he has a future at Charlton,I've always liked his attitude and he has the skills to be a decent Championship player, he just lacks confidence and never seems to get the chances given to others. A loan move will be good for him especially if he gets a run but I hope he comes back as he has much to offer

Hasn't kicked on but first class attitude. Hope it benefits him long term

Simon Francis got the assist for the first Bournemouth goal.
Quite an ex-Addicks reunion down at Dean Court this afternoon.
Apart from Francis, there was Waggy, Mooney, Lisbie and Lee Cook.
