I've sort of written of Haynes in my head. Hope I'm wrong though as when he is fit he looks a handful.

Ah, I remember when he was fit! It was a Tuesday I believe. About 2.30 til about 4.00. Then his hamstrings went again.

  • He always gave 100% whenever i saw him play, enthusiastic if not too skilful. I wish him all the very best
  • great clubman, dont think he has been given fair crack of the whip in the championship yet.
  • Ridiculous. He should be in the first team.
  • Don't see how people can say he isn't good enough for this league, when he hasn't played for a single minute yet this season! Probably the same one's that were saying Green wouldn't be good enough. Waggy was superb at the start of last season and at the end when he forced his way back into the team. CP has always been very complimentary towards him. I think it's just to let him get some game time and keep fit.
  • Interesting that pennant wants a loan the same day waggy goes out on loan - Good luck to him, hope he comes back and gets fair run in the first team.

This. I can see the move becoming permanent if he impresses.
  • Has anyone considered who we have waiting in the wings amongst the youngsters ?

bloody hell. Surprised. Hasn't really had a chance to show what he can do at this level, and bearing in mind our dodgy midfield thought he would sooner rather than later. But as Granpa says maybe we've got something good going on on the training field. And I don't mean Reo C.

  • Thought he was going to Burnley for 1.2m?
  • I think that engine and eye for goal will be an asset as the season goes on. Hopefully doing well at a lower level will improve his fitness and confidence.
  • Meh not that surprised to be honest, Green and Wilson will both be ahead of him and he's spent too much of his recent games sitting on the floor complaining to the ref. Hopefully he'll set the world alight over there, or at least play well enough to get someone to bid for him
  • I doubt whether it's a question of whether Waggy is good enough to play in the Champs or not.

The lad has been out of action all season, apart from the last couple of weeks.
He must be desperate for game time and to get 90 minutes under his belt.

So good move for both clubs and player. It's only for a month.
  • obviously not in CP plans, as was shown by Pritchard coming on to replace Greem last week, which muust have sounded a few bells in his shell-like. If it were me I would have been hammering on Chris's door come Monday (or even at half-time !) - perhaps he did & got a move away. I don't think the move come from L'Orients end..............

  • 130 games for Charlton and 20 goals - a very decent record for a young winger IMO.

But he doesn't swing in early crosses or have the strengths of a typical winger. Sorry not good enough and never will be.
  • Not good enough for what exactly? To be a backup in a Championship team? I disagree, I think that could be his level.
  • I think you've missed Scoham's point

Neither is JJ though and up until recently it was a hanging offence to criticise him on these forums.

  • Might be easing the payroll a bit...
  • Dissapointed at this. Always thought there is a really good player in there. Not always consistent but certainly think he can be a good Championship player. Would like it to be with us

Agree with Redman. I feel there could be a good Champs player in Waggy.

He's got a fantastic engine, decent touch, can tackle and deliver a good pass, and certainly able to strike a ball.

He's probably been played wide because he is pacy, but he's no conventional winger.

He's still young and perhaps needs to find a position other than winger?
    Waggy could still surprise us.

  • Also, this is only a 1-month loan. He's not been sold so he may still have a chance to prove himself at this level. I'm still undecided about Green as, whilst he's put some fantastic performances in this season there is clearly still some of last season's Green in there too.
  • A one month loan to get his fitness levels up whilst he isn't in the first team picture seems like a positive move to me.

Good luck to him. Think he will do well there
  • Hope you do well Scott!
  • We're allowing him to play in the JPT - poor bugger probably thought he'd seen the last of that competition!
