That Bolasie is shite0

After a very dodgy first 20 mins we've come back into it in last 25 - goal wasnt offside.0

Careful. Statements like that are often followed by a goal.charlton_hero said:That Bolasie is shite

Well, we should be one up but for that ridiculously disallowed goal, but regardless we grew into that half and looked far better at the end. Palace defence looks suspect against players running at them and crosses which bodes very well.
Dale playing out of his skin and linking up well with BWP who is unplayable on the deck. Delaney is one clumsy foul on him away from a booking. Hollands has started putting himself about more and Jackson is having an influence with some good crossing. Far from hurting us Wiggins' substitution has actually helped today. Wiggy was too slow getting back from attacking positions and leaving us open to Zaha's pace but Solly and Wilson are holding back more and standing up to the one-on-ones. Lawrie has looked fast and strong and he's upset their rhythm successfully. Very impressed with him so far. If we come out playing like we did at the end of the first we'll tear open their defence. Can still get caught on the break though so we'll have to be careful. We may lament Dale's booking too0 -
Good post. We take the game to them, we win. We repeat the first 20 minutes again, we lose.Garrymanilow said:Well, we should be one up but for that ridiculously disallowed goal, but regardless we grew into that half and looked far better at the end. What?, Lawrie ? Wilson ? - he's been shite so far, all he's done is give the ball away or hoof it into touch.Garrymanilow said:Well, we should be one up but for that ridiculously disallowed goal, but regardless we grew into that half and looked far better at the end. Thanks Garry. Good summary for those of us abroad and unable to watch on Sky. Keep it up please.Garrymanilow said:Well, we should be one up but for that ridiculously disallowed goal, but regardless we grew into that half and looked far better at the end. Think if we can shackle Zaha, nullify his threat we'll be fine. Seen a few flashes of lovely pass and move so if we can take it up a notch we'll be fine.
Still going with my 2-0 prediction.0 -
Stephens and Hollands playing well, but Jacko just looks outta his depth again - dreadful free-kick .0
-
Well, I'm watching the game on Al Jazeera Sports on a programme presented by...... Ian Dowie!! LOL.
He & Trevor Francis are saying that Palace are much the better team & that JJ is causing us major problems by playing so narrow. We have no width at all, which is allowing Palace too much space to attack the full backs. We need to change this at HT.

Losing wiggins didnt help that as I thought he was looking a threat pushing forwardRed_Pete in Dubai said:We have no width at all, which is allowing Palace too much space to attack the full backs. We need to change this at HT.

Lawrie's done everything required of him. He's got Bolasie and Zaha, two pacey, strong wingers alternating and running at him and he's stood them up and stopped them getting any decent crosses in. Palace's entire attacking threat comes from those two and our full backs are starting to reduce their dominance. His distribution hasn't been anything to write home about but in this game that's not really what we're after. Wiggy's crossing looked good today but he kept letting Zaha in behind him - I know which I prefer0

I'll 2nd that good man.Peter_G said:
