  • If you feel so bad about it perhaps you should tweet him a private message instead of grassing him up on a fans forum .
  • He's half German and all!

    Only messing.

What a lad he is. Would love to go venue with him one time.

From this tweet he comes across as thick, I doubt he even knows the meaning of the word! But he is just a kid, so I we should cut him some slack.
I dont suppose he means any harm.

Large, how old is he then? 21, 22, 23 - How much did you know about the world when you where that age, like the average 21, 22, 23 today, not much would be the answer, so yes he is a kid!

You can't send someone private message unless they are following you.

i agree that this is a nothing incident but 23 years old is not a 'kid' when it comes to saying or doing stupid things

Whether he is a 'kid' or not 23 year old kids say and do stupid things. Out of interest how old are you Gary?
  • A Coventry City player was recently suspended by the club for making a reference to the IRA on Twitter - dim from him and Hamer to be fair. Football League have recently sent letters to all players warning them about comments they make on Twitter.

"On Twitter the other day a well known TV presenter mentioned a plague of Mosquitos in the place that they were on holiday. I was disgusted as many millions of people died in unimaginable agony during the bubonic plague, including many children. I got so upset by their flippant use of the term that I fisted myself and now it's stuck. I hope that these public figures reflect on some of the harm they cause with their use of terms that might offend people following their comments on the Internet"

A very sad story Mort. IF ONLY people would run their every thought word and deed past the Thought Police before even breathing we would not have witness outrages of this kind and our delicate ears and sensibilities would not be so greatly offended...
  • Gary is 14

Hope it's not a word that "yoof" are picking up on to use to in everyday speech to mean disaster. It's much like the current use of the word gay being used on any occasion to mean not right. Both a poor choices of word but I doubt the majority use them in an intentionally insulting way. In the documentary "Is Football Racist" shown last week David Badiel was making a similar although not exactly same point about the acceptance of the term "yids" A lot of people out there who have little knowledge or brains. I give them the benefit of the doubt mostly.

    ***dons c/life pedant uniform***

i thought it was the fleas on rats that caused the bubonic plague therefore you owe the mosquito an apology.

***removes c/life pedant uniform and waits to be proved wrong***

    What his missus reckons anyway
  • Simple answer to this is to avoid twitter. Most of what I've seen is totally incomprehensible
  • I suggest none of you follow Frankie Boyle on Twitter.

i'm going to see him next week in edinburgh

  • first off I think if you get easily offended you should probably steer clear of things like twitter

secondly I can't get my head around why people other than comedians would use it. it seems to cause more headache than it can possibly be worth with people reading various messages and translating them how they like.
