  • But why is it OK to go on to the pitch and ruin a possible trophy presentation then?
I think a few on here would say just to annoy you! You are so miserable.
maybe so BUT I am in agreement with him. If say 200 invaded the pitch v Hartlepool and the subsequent celebrations were not allowed to take place how exactly would that be acceptable to the majority ?

As a fan who stayed in the stands at the Carlisle match due to being right at the back of the stand, i didnt see anybody in the stands moaning about are own fans on the pitch, we stayed and waited for the players to come back out as we wanted to see them again, well done to the fans that got on the pitch for a peaceful and fantastic celebration, nothing wrong with that in football and im confident we did not upset the majority of Carlisle fans as i live up here and every Carlisle fan i have met since the weekend including after the match said well done and it was good to see us really enjoying the moment.

    Don't worry Large...won't be a sell-out anyway !
    Oh............

  • im gonna lift the trophy
I'm gonna wear it as a hat.

so you have not watched the vidoes where a number of fans can be heard to be chanting 'off, off, off' and booing ?

  • Just a thought but will the trophy be at the Valley on Saturday? If so and we win and Sheff Utd losse will we not be presented with the trophy Saturday?

Failing the answer is no then why not a freindly invasion on Saturday against Wycombe as we would have won the league the cup will be raised against Hartlepool with no invasion?

    Does that make sence? ;-)

  • I don't like presentations on the pitch with some tarted up trestle table that takes ages to erect.

Let the players appear in the directors box and be given the Trophy there while still wearing their kit whilst the fans celebrate on the pitch.

OK, harsh on the upper west fans but you can't please everyone.
  • no, no, no and no
  • im gonna lift the trophy
I'm gonna wear it as a hat.
I'm gonna have my bovril out of it

  • Large, just to be clear, will you be running on the pitch at any stage this season?

How many Reading fans on the pitch (and which one is Olly ?).

Must of missed that but a shame if they did, on them not on the people on the pitch but i agree people should not stop the trophy being lifted in front of fans at Hartlepool, which im sure they wont as it was the emotions of winning promotion that caused it at Carlisle.
  • Another thread where the same old faces come out to put the boot in.

Another thread where the same old faces come out to put the boot in.
    Surely that's most threads?
  • I'm intending on running on in the 82nd minute to ensure I get a good spot.

Don't dilly dally, all the best spots will be taken by the 86th minute FACT
  • will ladders be provided for the west upper?
  • I guess the people who leave early will have to invade early too? Could get busy out there.

  • Yep same old Charlton fans love to moan just for mornings sake I saw blokes on the pitch Saturday old enough to be my grandad and everyone was enjoying it. Just get over on the pitch or not stop winging like a little kid that's lost it's dummy. If we win the league last minute Saturday I for one will be right at the front with a lot of others waiting to give the players a celebration hug just for the moaners

  • Before anyone moans too heavily about fans on the pitch, Remember, The one good thing that has come out of the pitch invasion last week is the Olley thread.....................................
  • Bit of double speak me thinks, firstly the club are refusing to hand over names of who was known to be on the pitch at Carlisle as it was in jubilation and no hint of trouble (I know a few that I saw on sky, and taff the liason officer will as well, if I noticed them, he would have) Then they say anyone coming onto the pitch at the Valley faces bans and further action, so its ok to do it at Carlisle in celebration and the club will protect you, but not at the Valley?
  • how about if we invade the pitch and then all sit down on it.

    will that keep everyone happy?
  • Simple solution is just don't run on pitch at the remaining games then we will all be able to enjoy the presentation end off
  • I'll take a leisurely stroll on then go mental once im on there!
  • I think mainly because we've had our slapped wrists by the FA, so we can't be seen to do it again - except Olly!
  • I think someone should take a lifesized olly cardboard cut out and place him on the pitch.

Because the club just want to be able to present the trophy on the day (if we are champions)! Who cares if its double speak they are just trying to scare people into stayin off the pitch so that we can all celebrate. And if it works then i say good on them for taking steps. Everyone will want to see Jackson lift the trophy.

  • You run on, the FA send a letter, your club have ignored it, the FA won't take any further action...end of really.
  • try telling that to some on here though
