  • agree with the above, obviously not seen any of them play - but they come with good pedigree and most are a good age.

Not sure Small would be in our starting XI now
If Small was still here I'd be pretty certain he starts the season at RWB. He's a class player and a real shame we've lost him to a rival.
It's a bit sliding doors really - if Small was still here I doubt we sign Apter as he's cost a lot to be a back up/bench option.

If we get through the whole window and Small is the only real loss then that makes it a pretty decent window in its own right quite apart from the success of bringing people in.
  • After all the transfer business. I'd put money on us to stay up. I don't for one second think we will be competing for promotion(although you never really know and one can live in hope) I truly believe we will be very competitive in every game. Home form will be so so important. I think teams won't look forward to coming to the valley
  • Still got a way to go imo, but certainly in a lot better place, than on the 27th of June.

How good they all are, time will tell.

It’s rosy and positive now, before we’ve kicked a ball in anger, Just hope the fan base doesn’t get on the players backs, if we go on a losing streak.

I'm feeling optimistic .. our signings are not (so far) spectacular, no neon marquee names, just good solid pros with (mostly) Championship experience .. at the VERY least I expect us to be well clear of the relegation zone .. that might sound negative, but so what, who expects us to get promoted this season ?
You’ve made some half decent signings but so have nearly everyone else. This league is always evolving. It’s relentless at times and it’s a job just to keep up.
i'm feeling optimistic coz i spoke to another couple of millwall fans yesterday who were worried - again, both don't rate coburn and couldn't believe u paid £3.5m + on him and said ivanovic was good but not great - you've never scored many goals i guess so looks like that won't be changing - its gonna be tough but i'm confident NJ can mould a functional, hard working team probably similar to you lot and thats got you to comfortable upper mid table - i think we need to sign another player who takes players on and creates and i think we need to push the boat out for the right player - if we do, i think we'll be fine
We did a lot of business in January so only need a few tweeks this window.

I know you don’t rate Coburn or now Ivanovich (or rather your ‘Millwall mates’ don’t) but if you had taken our league form from january, which is incidentally when Alex Neil took over, and both Coburn and Ivanovich became regulars in the team, then we would have finished 5th. Which bodes well for next season. But it’s a funny old game as the great man once said so we’ll see.
It's not a funny old game when we play you :'(
Funny that you lot call it our cup final. When you do finally beat us (it’s got to happen sooner or later) then you will all celebrate like you’ve won the cup 😉
    You're probably right.
It's become our cup final and I'll definitely celebrate massively (if it ever happens).

When Charlton finally beat Millwall in 25/26 it will be Cafc cup final, VE day, birthday, VJ day, and at the final whistle there will be a rendition of " can we play you every week"
  • We shall see. My point is Millwall can have a poor season in the same way we can have a great one. There are a lot of unknowns.
As we know, with the championship, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know.

    Cheers, appreciate you explaining that🧐

    Here to help 🙏🏼
  • It's such a weird League , there's always completely unpredictable things that happen. Don't think all 3 relegated sides will go back up purely because Leicester will have a points deduction and seem a complete mess. As much as I don't especially like the bloke I do have a sneaking suspicion Frank Lampard might get Cov up....

We was the only team in the league last season to beat all of the top 3. We also lost to all of the bottom 3.

That’s a positive thing for us. Much better than the prem, where the promoted teams are normally doomed to be crushed by the rest.

I can't believe some people think we will be relegated with the business done so far and more to come. They need their bumps feeling IMO as there has been a real showing of intent. I am going into the season genuinely expecting to do better than Millwall but it is for us to worry about us and them to worry about themselves.

So you’re saying you are going to beat us again this season…

I think Charlton will Finish 15th this season
I would take that all day long too.

That sounds like Charlton over the years.
  • Sounds like problems continuing at Leicester, were meant to unveil new kit last week and just…didn’t. Suggestion is that the sponsor is an illegal betting company which might have caused an issue
  • Best transfer window for many years and this squad should be good enough to push championship mid table. Amazing to think it was only 2 years ago some people had an envious eye on Gillingham having a new owner with big plans.

Fast forward 2 years,  Gills owner sold their fans a false dream , stuck in the Conference , budget cut and defeat to Ebbsfleet last night.

Gills owner always seemed like a Sandgaard. All big talk but really no plan. How many managers have they gone through now under his ownership that all have very different styles?

As things stand with our squad I’d say we’ll definitely be competitive but I’m still leaning towards a relegation campaign. A striker, attacking midfielder and a RWB would if all of good quality push us I think towards a steady bottom half finish but without real fear of relegation. At this point I still think we need more offensive options. I think we will be tough to beat but I fear if we fall behind in games we’ll struggle to come back. Home and away.

Has us finishing 6th which obviously I’d be more than happy with. But he also mentioned that Alex Neil has managed Aberdeen, which he hasn’t, so probably take what this fella says with a pinch of salt

It’s not easy to write up 24 teams (72 as he’s done L1 and L2) without making any mistakes in fairness.

There’s a few exceptions but I think he’s got most teams in the right ballpark area

I got a bit carried away. The conference is the end of next season 😂

  • To be fair, Carlisle have TS style owners, have cycled through managers with different playstyles and are now in the NL
