Very poor first half but picked it up in the 2nd, great counter and cross by wiggins and even better header by super Yann!! Ref was absolute cack, and the linesman was just as bad, couldn't spot the ball going out for a throw when the whole ground could see it. Proud that the boys stood strong, thought the wagstaff second yellow was harsh but would like to see it again. Game closer to promotion. COYR!!!
We didn't play beautiful attacking football but we did play a great defending rearguard game, we never looked to be one man down at any time. I think Solly was at fault for Waggy's first yellow as he didn't move inside to give Waggy a passing option. As usual too much aerial football, but it didn't matter as it was a great team performance. It wasn't pretty but it was 3 points and now that is all that matters.
Our fans were wonderful with the drummer or drummers pounding out the beat. At the end the whole team and management came over and applauded us, then CP remained behind and gave his salute. A perfect end to a 3 point day.

Sounds like this lot really care. Was it similar to the Sheffield Wednesday celebrations?
Great result in the face of massive adversity. Great things can be acheived off the back of team performances like that. I believe the importance of that will not be lost on the players who will now dig in even deeper if that's at all possible.
Re the powell salute to the fans, I thought that was brilliant. The managment team came towards our fans, arm and arm, smiling from ear to ear. Then powell is on his own and gives us a fist of victory, wonderful moment, made me proud of our team and gaffer. Charlton Legend, on and off the pitch, player and person. And so to be mangerial legend (I hope!!)

It was better than Wendies as there were less of us and we were closer to the pitch
Great vocal support today and very emotional at the end. Yann was on the deck he had worked so hard. To be fair to them Oldham did try to play a bit of football and were a better side than some we have seen recently but our defence was impassable and Hamer didn't have a really tricky save to make. Special mention to Cort - hero today.
