No, I like the dirge. Now that Valley Floyd Road is sung at 100 mph you need a good slow song. It was quieter than usual yesterday, but that was the nerves I think. I was wondering about this today. Presumably the upper north is the singing area because it's cheaper. But don't you get a better view in the upper than the lower. Lower north should be £18 and upper should be £22/25, then the noisy element would migrate.
If your in the middle of it singing it , it probably sounds ok , listen to it from anywhere else in the ground and it comes across as a poor mans Spurs , its like the whole of the North stand are winding down for bed.
singing bunch need to be nearer the away fans, feels like we are singing to noone all the way in the north upper
Agreed, at Hudds their drummer boy and vocal mob were at the edge/corner of their stand right in front of us. That said the cop at Hillsboro is at opposite end of pitch to away fans, but they make noise when they get going, even when they are losing.

I feel like a one man band in the east stand most of the time. I sing/join in with all the chants/songs and no one else does and its just bloody hopeless. Seriously thinking about moving to the north upper next year.
A drum in each stand would just be embarrassing and wouldn't work. You need one loud stand like the Kop at Anfield etc... the West for example is never gonna be a cauldron of passion and noise main stands never are.

Be nice to have a few groups spread out, nothing major but it's just force of habit for all those in NU to just renew their ST's up there and nothing will change, unless the away fans move which is highly unlikely
We are in the North Upper, so for me the support is brilliant. My problem right now is that everything revolves around promotion, so I tend to sit quietly in fear as we so often invite teams to come at us as we protect a one goal lead. Had it not been for that excellent second goal on Saturday, the last ten minutes would have been a nightmare. As I've said elsewhere, we need a Keane or Robson in the middle pushing the team all the time.

Chill out and carry on clapping along.......................................
Or mic up the north-upper and blare it through speakers into the jimmy seed. ;-)
I know this wont change though!
bigger crowds...but at championship level so the plastics dont return in force...plus not a huge expectaition from the stands.
I think a flute and a set of pan-pipes would suit better
