  • He didn't pay? Sigh.
    No
I asked the guy doing it and he said he'd get back to me as he was busy at the time...but he never did. If I see you I'll grive you a fiver if I have it
funny how 20 other people managed to catch up with him and handover a fiver.
I did get in at like 7:35 you know

And your point is? The meeting started at 8.15. You then shot off as soon as it finished,

This needs to be put before the chair at the next BAL meeting ...Oh Grand Master.
  • Apologies if this is higher up the thread and I've missed it but what was anything mentioned about the midfield difficulties of late?
  • No............CP was more concerned that Nathan didn't pay (again) !!

  • I've been meaning to go to a Bromley Addicks meeting for some time now - I work in the building opposite the con club so thought I couldn't miss this one!

Thanks to Henry and whoever else organised the event, was an enjoyable evening.
Powell didn't react when the news of the Col U v Sheff Utd score was read out. Poker face or just not bovvered? Views differed.
I had already told him the 1-1 score line and that Sheff Utd were at that time down to 10 men (this was during the interval) with about 5 or 10 minutes left to play.....so he already knew the score. Hence his apparent lack of emotion...when I told him he 'did' give a smile and commented. "Mmmmmm that's good" type comment ....can't remember exactly what he said, but he was clearly very pleased.
I heard it said that Sheffield United were down to 10men and even 9men at some point(?), but when I got home and reviewed the stats, there were no dismissals, no mention of this in any match reports either??

  • Yes i heard the same as well , i think it was a wind up from my Brother in law , i looked as well when i got home.
  • I was still in Bartram's when Powell left after that game; he looked in and the few who were left (including Martyn Simons) bowed to him which he was embarassed about, and he didn't stay after his wave to all and sundry. I left about ten minutes later and Powell was still loading up the car with the family etc, so he then had to drive past us up Floyd Road, at which pioint we bowed again in homage, and he tooted. Then, driving the black people carrier, he was off into the distance...
    Hero...
great story but very worried by this revelation, especially with his family in the car.
