No that's not the case, the people who bought stuff direct at the auction haven't got their canvas prints. My brother bought a signed and personalised canvas that wasn't yet framed, and so far there has been no sign of it, no response from Steve Jones, and Steve Speroni says it's nothing to do with him, it's Steve Jones! I've even emailed Steve Jones and had no response..... it was £100 down the drain basically. 2 months and waiting.....
If you haven't already, I'd e-mail them one more time, threatening to report them to the police for fraud, unless you receive a satisfactory response within 48 hours.

The main reason I finally received a response is because I mentioned legal action
What I don't understand is why Steve Jones was on here all the time promoting this, now when a response is needed he has "gone away", Step up to the plate be a man!

Unfortunately that is the norm when these things happen, I just hope for everyones sake it is a huge misunderstanding and a lack of comunication because this is not the "Charlton Way" of doing things.
what an absolute sham, It leaves a bad smell in the air, i would be finding out where Jonesy drinks and seeing him face to face it cant be that hard someone will know on book face or something like that
I am commenting merely as an observer. It is a crying shame that Clive Mendonca's name is associated with this situation, he's a REAL Charlton legend and it seems that many people have gone out of their way to buy mementos and souvenirs to remind them of the time that he and the club had such great success together and also to help him through what have been reported as rather troubled times. I find it hard to believe that Steve Jones could be so cold blooded as to deliberately con true fans out of their hard earned money. I really hope that there will be a satisfactory resolution to this, otherwise, persuading generous and loyal Charlton fans to contribute to worthy causes in the future may prove to be very difficult
Steve Jones isn't exactly what one could describe as the most organised and successful businessman going.....and that's putting it mildly. It's quite likely that he's got himself (and unwittingly Clive) into something of a mess over this and has lost the plot of what's gone down somehow. I firmly believe there's no intentional rip-off going on here, but bad business practise 'is' a distinct possibility. I hope to god this get's sorted out because it's leaving a bad taste in quite a few mouths.......actually we have no idea of how many folk are affected by this saga, there might be very few and some of those few are posters on here. Then again there could be quite a few but even then would that come to a lot of money, by that I mean the sort of money that would make it worthwhile all the greif that could be coming their way....I doubt it somehow? Mmmmm, but who knows?
I forwarded on Steve Jones email addy to some who are chasing a couple of days ago. Doesn't look like they have had any luck.
I got a bit of flack in asking Steve and Steve Speroni so many questions with regards to the organising, percentages et, but right from the off this whole process just had a constant alarm bell ringing in the background.
I'm sure that those who have been badly treated will get sorted one way or another now that things are becoming more public, but its a real shame how this has been handled so badly. Taking peoples cash and not even responding to them over two months later just isn't on.
It seemed a bit odd from the start, and I know a few people were a bit unhappy that people who made quite a bit of money from Charlton fans during their careers were coming back after many years to take some more. I really hope it gets sorted out, and I'm sure it's just an admin error of some sort, but two months is a long time to wait for some signed goods.
I have to say that I am upset by this affair. Perhaps in hindsight that is why the club did not want to get involved with this....... Clive is a much loved and respected player by myself and I am sure many others. I did bid for some of the products, and in more 'financially flush' times would have bid more. Regardless of 'issues' at the very least a response should have been issued by the organisers. I got the view from Steve Speroni that Clive respected the Charlton fan's in the emails I got from him. I hope he does, and responds in the correct manner, to his fans.
I'm guessing at an admin cock up. As stated earlier Steve Jones isn't exactly flush with cash but it seems ludicrous he would go this all this grief to make a couple of hundred quid.
Didn't someone say he worked at his local Tesco? Billericay or Basildung rings a bell. I'm sure someone could find him pretty easily
I have just emailed Steve jones and Steve speroni, giving them until next week to sort the matter before I look to take further action, if they really needed the money I would give it to them as it only stops me from Drinking it, but skanking me off is taking the piss, I have been reading that a few people got a refund put I'm sure they paid via PayPal, unfortunatly for me I paid them £100 in cash!
