Tonight's #FootballforaFiver trending attempt builds on #cafc's advertising campaign which you should start seeing from today (MW)
  • We have to offer Stevenage fans the same as ours. If weather is good I think we will get our biggest gate of the season. Any chance of that opera singer girl singing a few songs?
Really? I'm all for attracting as many people as possible, but i don't want to be stepping into Palace territory. What has an Opera singer got to do with league 1 football? Its a bit too American for a game against the mighty Stevenage.

yes but she's going to be naked except for a Charlton bobble hat.

Oddly, we don't, actually. Four times a season you are allowed to charge away fans more than home fans under the guise of a "local promotion". Theoretically useful for making Millwall fans pay their own police costs, but it's a silly dispensation IMO.
  • According to the Stevenage O/S tickets for this game don't go in sale till Thursday 16th Feb so I guess they haven't sold any yet
Correct. They have an initial allocation of 1,300. Whether they get any more will depend on home demand and whether the police allow us to segregate the James Marshall Seed stand.
so is the jimmy seed stand getting segregated so home fans can sit in there?
  • Less then 30mins all on twitter.
  • 6,191 sold tonight (2,253 Chesterfield, 3,343 Exeter)
  • I've retweeted. have you?
  • Fooball, ouch!

Funny the lady at the Boro ticket offered me as many as I liked last week? Airman B must be right so what was she talking about? I reckon 1200 Stevenage tops
  • Woman at barnehurst station handing out leaflets. Fair play to her
  • hoping this one is a sell out! would be nice to see the ground full for once!
  • How many season tickets do we have?

Indeed what is the current "home" attendance?
  • Got a feeling it's about 9.5k.
  • MW just said on twitter about 9,200. So home area figure is currently about 15,704, which is about normal. So I expect about 25,000 total sales

I think there are at least a couple of hundred comps floating about each game so you could probably round that up to 16k
  • Looking good so far for a sell-out of home areas!

Just got 2. N block is the only area left in North Upper. Always makes me laugh when it plays Chariots of Fire theme over the phone.
  • Hopefully it will be a Chesterfield performance and not one like the two big £5 games before it though
  • Anyone see West Ham's advert in the Metro today? Same day as ours, 12.45 ko against Palace, £20 adults £1 kids. Have to say, I'd never have seen it if I hadn't been looking for the jobs page, would have thought it went largely unnoticed, unlike the wraparound Charlton ad on this week's News Shopper. Credit to Airman and everyone else involved, Charlton seem to be much, much better at this than anyone else.
  • Any indications that our home capacity isn't going to be restricted to 24,000 ish?

6,771 at close of business tonight, including 582 today.

Roughly speaking we have 9,500 season tickets including comps and there are about 500 comp match tickets for scouts, current players, match officials, the FL, corporate sponsors, former players, directors' guests, the academy and Tickets for Troops.

So to get the current gate, just add 10,000 to the sale and something for Stevenage. Hence we have a crowd of about 17,500, if you allow 750 for Stevenage (not a guess, just a working assumption).

I expect to sell another 750-plus to Saturday night and based on previous offers we should sell 6,000-ish Monday to Friday next week, but all the numbers so far have run well ahead. If that trend continues, we will sell out.

The other issue with the Metro is that even if you're West Ham a hell of a lot of copies go to areas where you are not going to get much response and you are paying for that exposure.

I found the same only n block available but bought them anyway arrived in post thismorning
