Yes there were charlton fans saying that they didnt hear anything, and shes arguing back saying all of the fulham players wives were getting abused, and didnt even watch the 2nd half apparently, which I struggle to believe considering I definately saw them all sitting up there in the 2nd half too! Anyway its pretty pathetic by both parties on twitter, her more so, especially after she tweeted saying shes off out for a curry, only to get involved in a twitter argument with our fans!!
Is she for real? Some people need to a serious reality check. Just like when murphy was at Charlton thinking he was the best thing since sliced bread.
So proud of the boys, especially Pritchard and Kermoghant - both immense.
No-one had a bad game, maybe we gave them a bit too much respect in the 1st half, but we had chances, kept it on the deck, and played some amazing football at times against a team that was obviously a class above.
Support was fantastic, too. A great day out.
I still don't know what to make of the Murphy business, his natural demeanour came across as arrogant (when he was with us), but I think he wanted to win and do well with us, and when Curbs went defensive after a winning run of games ended in that last season, with a bunch of decent attacking players, that's when he became a victim of one of Curbs' man-management errors. We will never know the full story, (like many others) that's for sure, just have a suspicion he might not deserve such abuse, that's all. Probably an unpopular view, and for a different thread, just had to get it off my chest!
agree with afka - some things enjoyable, some not so enjoyable.
well done pritchard. 4-0 flattered them
some our fans are just horrible and I notice it more when there are more of them and sold out away area.
felt sorry for the elderly couple behind us who asked us to sit, and we asked those in front of us and those in front of them to sit, but no one would, and we had that awkward conversation when we explained that we had to stand or we wouldn't see although we did shuffle up to create a gap between us so they had a half chance of seeing something.
the half time abuse of the stewards was awful to watch.
the steward at the end that refused to let us take a picture of the MJ statue was also a disgrace.
had a good day, but a few negatives have left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. having said that, felt immensely proud that the team seemed very chuffed when clapping us as they walked off.
Well the ITV "highlights" make the Beeb seem positively expansive - but definitely no pen - thanks to all CAFC fans who made it a very memorable experience COYR!!
Just saw the highlights, looked lke Sullivan made a good save but was given as a pen, deflected goal for their 4th so a bit unlucky.
Also thought Green was harshly booked brings it up to 7 now I tihnk this season, booked for his one and only foul during the game yet Riise did the same thing yet no booking, fair enough Dowd refs Fulham and knows them well but thought Green was a little unlucky and it could end up him missing a game for us later in the season
Really pleased Ive read this thread. I got up at 2am to listen via player and to say the commentary was crap is an understatement. The commentator spent lenghty periods of time chatting to CliveWalker about anything other than the game, and when we "Go over to Olly for an update" geez were they scrapping the barrell. Heard a few renditions of VFR, but other than that the sound was muted, so Im delighted to hear the atmosphere was great and that we didnt look as bad as Walker and Co made us sound (especially in the first half). They did however think the penalty was harsh, and I read elewhere that someone saw the highlights and it was indeed a silly decision. Onwards and upwards, hope we dont get the same bloke for commentary next week. One aim....lets get the job done.
I tell you what did make me laugh, a 2/3 min walk away from the MJ statue is a kids playground (being refurbished though), talk about putting the 2 together, quality
All in all a great day, far more positives than negs, great support, great atomsphere and the emergence of Bradley Pritchard is brilliant, Chris Solly and Yam also superb today, Chris Powell as ever shows how much he cares and I cant wait for next week, 4-0 was harsh and the opening 20 mins in the 2nd half was fantastic, they did seem a yard quicker than us in places and far more clynical when chances arise....BWP really does need a deflected offside goal like Paul Bensons at Swindon I think to get him started again, I thought he tried hard today but it just wouldnt break for him....ONE AIM
Unbelieveable highlights, almost as biased as the ref. Annoying when people look at the score and think we were shit and just rolled over, when the exact oppposite was the case..
Was proud of the performance today and like many of you, feel as though we were a bit hard done by with the 4-0 score line.
BWP looked better today. His touch seemed to be back and is a shame he couldn't bury that great chance he had as would've done his confidence the world of good.
For me, one player shone today and that was Yann. Thought he was absolutely outstanding and didn't look out of place playing against a Premier League side. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself but the guy just keeps on getting better and better every time I see him - Absolute class and far too good for league one.
Shout out to Solly and Pritchard too who I thought were both great.

Cracking day. Sod the score. The difference was that they had finishers and we didn't . We played some lovely stuff othooth halfs and Solly , Pritchard and Kermigant were outstanding . Those who didn't go will look at the score and be worried - don't be. If BWP had managed to put his chance away early in the second half It would have been so much different. In the end class told but we were excellent at times, The crowd was fantastic ( didn't hear a peep from Fulham ) .
Bring on the Wendies .
Spot on Bedsy, that's how I saw it.
Enjoyed the day out with my son and thought our fans singing and support was magnificent.
On the minus side a fight broke out amongst our own just behind us - wtf was that all about?
At 58 years old and with a bad back must admit I'd prefer to sit, although if/when I was 30 years younger I would have taken the opposite view.
You just don't know when you're younger - a bit of tolerance is called for.
Don't think this was ever going to be a giant killing - we are too good for that, if you understand what I mean!
We gave a great account of ourselves but were beaten by better players who are more clinical where it mattered.
The last 2 goals flattered them.
Loved Chris Solly's performance - he effectively got Frei subbed.
Well done Brad Pritchard - so unfazed and composed considering he was non-league last season.
If Bwp's chance in that second half spell had gone in - with the momentum and crowd support who knows.
I am only pissed off about moving stateside when i think about charlton, never take our club for granted if it werent there you would have no escape from er indoors or whatever your greatest fear is,
great to hear 7000 turned up, we were never going to win this game, so any positives are a good thing, sounds like we had some good spells.
the wendies arent as good as 2nd place in our league, my bet is us and huddersfield to go up with the blades in the playoffs.
Probably doesn't do us any harm for people to think we were not as good as we are. Sure the reaction will be a greater focus and determinarion to complete the more important job this season.
As has been pointed out, abuse of Murphy's wife was by only 4 drunken yobs/idiots. Please comment in that contet rather than criticise her and say she deserved it. Wish these idiots would go and support Millwall, Our supporters are the best in the country and we don't need the handful of idiots who sing the Lisbie song and now this- we need to stand up to them collectively before it becomes a bigger problem.
Back to the impotant bit- the football - Well done the lads, get rid of bad luck in a game that doesn't really matter I say.
Great day out, the boys made me proud, gave it their all. One player for us who was quietly effective and not really mentioned was Taylor, done a great job on Zamora.
Haven't read the thread so I'm sure I'm repeating whats been said already...
Good performance, gave it a real go (especially at the start of the second half) & deserved a goal. Certainly didn't deserve 4-0! The stats prove that the game was more even than the score suggests.
Didn't think that anyone had a poor game, Solly, Kermorgant & Hollands stood out for me. Also impressed with BWP although he should have scored (wish he had if only for a confidence boost ahead of the Sheff Wed support).
Great support (Fulham fans were awful), proud to be a CAFC fan apart from the big fight kicking off in our row (bottom right hand corner of the stand) after the penalty was awarded due to some offensive chants being sung by an individual.
Happily take the 4-0 defeat in return for a result next Sat!

Surely the whole point of a forum is that you read what others have said before you comment?
It comes across as "I don't care what you all think but as I'm so important I'm going to tell you what I think!"
A good day out though and now we can concentrate on the league, no more distractions, apart from the Kent Cup...
